Seriously, this is what it has come to

I trap and run hounds . You will always have slob hunters and trappers ! No law is going to stop a slob, period.

I feel a 220 should not be used on dry land. But it is legal too, if set correctly with come sense, bucket sets can be dog proof. Then comes the slob...

look at California did they think they would loose all they have lost?

Did the people of Iowa think it would be one of the first state to bring you gay marriage?
How about the first state to give us Obama in the primaries?
Keep chipping away and pretty soon the tree comes down.

Hell I don't like Walkers maybe we could...Never mind!

What I told you was the truth, how you choose to react to it is your business. Tom

I got word today from a concerned trapper that is also a DNR employee that MN Trapper's Association is proposing to make changes to they're snaring regulations.

Currently in SE MN (Farmland Zone) Snaring is not allowed until after Dec 1st and snares must be checked daily. Snaring was not allowed in Southern MN for many years until a few years ago due to population and private farmsteads and etc. Although our population is increasing, somehow MTA got snare pushed through a few years ago.
Now MTA is proposing that the snaring season opens along with they're water set season in late October and also proposing 3 day checks on snares.

For anyone that question why MN coonhunters seem to have a bad attitude towards, trapping... this is a perfect example.

Some of you in Iowa are worried about hurting a trappers feelings, well here in MN the MN Trapper's Association clearly only cares about they're own best interests with no regard for they're fellow sportsmen.

I'm still gathering info, but this concerns me. 99% of hunting dog enthusiasts are in the woods in Oct-Nov, where in Dec those numbers drastically decline, therefore less chance of negative encounters.

I'm trying to get more info, but folks this is an example why MN coonhunters have a poor relationship with trappers.

Think about it

Think about this people. Hounds and 220's don't mix I agree end of story.

Now if a 220 is used properly it is a very effective tool to a traper! Yes even I have seen SLOB people who make ilegale sets with 220's. Just like I have seen SLOB houndsmen who don't care who owns the land their dogs run on. Both of these moronic types of people are what is going to be the End Of Our Sport!

If you don't agree with me I'm good with it, if you want to call me up and Bitch I'm good with that also. But remember 1 simple thing untill all sportsmen and women start fighting Together we will all Loose!!!!!
