Been hunting every night the snows all gone well most of it and the coon are moving after being down there with them hard running coon he is putting a hurtinon these ohio coon cash is in the best shape of his life and ready to rock in the hunts no.excuses win lose or draw he will be ready for ashland and the super stakes

That's good, I'd love to see him win the SS. Not many SS Blue dogs.

We had 2 great casts at the State hunt, and had a blast meeting a lot of new folks.

Friday night I was winning the cast with 200+ with 5 minutes left and knew 200 wouldn't get us in. I heard him in there deep and thought he "might" be treed and put him on the paper and he wasn't treed. Johnny Sheffield hunting a female off Pounder won our cast, she did a nice job.

Saturday night we had 1st and 1st on a coon alone. Another dog got split and had 3rd and 1st on a coon. We pulled Brummy off his tree and re-cast him and he struck back in for 25 and took 2nd tree on a slick. He doesn't cover very often and hardly ever on a slick but he's a dog and I guess that's the way it goes. For the most part he did what he does, slipped off to himself and treed coons. He's not perfect and neither am I, but we made a good showing.

I should have just kept my mouth shut Friday night, but with 4 casts of NtCh's I knew 200 wasn't gonna cut the mustard. Go big or go home!

Well we had a scare tonight. I was cleaning out the dog pens late this evening and had my baby, Harper Grace out there with me in her stroller. I had the door to Kate's kennel open spraying it out and I turned around to oogle at the baby and Kate shot out of there like a rocket ship on rails. Remember now she is in full blown heat, due to be bred Thursday. She hit the woods and was GONE. We will be working on the come here command in the real near future. Long story short, after 2 hours of riding around and listening for her I finally find her 2 miles away hooked with a coon. I sure was glad when I stopped on top of that hill and heard her blowing the top out of it.

Brummy sounds like my kinda hound go yonder get treed make ya walk till daylight under a coon dog!! Also sounds as if he reproduces his likenesses!!

Lance, I'm glad she got hooked but she had me sweating bullets, I'm really excited about this cross and if she would have got bred to a yard dog I would have been pretty hot. I checked her over good and luckily she's still bleeding.

Tough hunting last night in the wind, Brummy went over a mile and never got struck. Got him caught up and called it an early night.

I've been waiting on my Kate female to come in heat for the last month and she started bleeding today. She's a nice little female, has a real good mouth, likes to get to herself, not silent but fairly quiet on the ground.
