sold a 40 lb beaver(not skinned) got 3 dollars.
sold a nice boar mink(not skinned) got 5 dollars.
watched the local fur buyer turn away several nice size coons because he said they were still blue...didnt want them.

that is here in southwest indiana. havent sold my rats yet or coyotes. sounds like we are wasting our time skinning the coons out here. be better off leaving them in the tree to run again.

one other thing on nov the 5th he was also in freemont at ma's bait and tackle. i had to be at work sow i coudnt go to shawano or you would of seen me down there. i was going to empty the freezer again saturday for antigo but got stuck doing somthing else i will let you know when im bringing this batch in. sow you can tell all how i stretch the truth a bit. grampa

SOLD ALL FURS MON.

I sold 29 coons monday.I sometimes hunt with George,the buyer for Groenewold.I have known him a long time .4 good heavy coon at $25,a couple at $20,a pile at $12 and the rest at $7.I did not kill any the first week.........Rats were $8 skun out and he bumped up alot of my mediums for me, thought that was nice of him.. My friend still has 55 still in NAFTa,first they only sold 35% of his coons first two sales,he had over 400,he has caught 109 the first of the week,probably over 150 by now.

I am not going trap in this 22 degree weather for 4 to 6 dollars a coon,that river get cold going down it in a boat in early morning.

I dont know how everyone else feels i coon hunt an trap for the fun of it if hides were a dollar id still shoot a few out and skin them id still set traps and run my line everyday the money just helps a little for my hobby.

can I ask who did you sell to?

one buyer around here says top of 12$
another buyer around here says top of 18$

both lifetime buyers with routes they run and advertise...Crazy! 6 dollar difference.

holdin' for now, but prices look good, dont want to wait to long have seen em drop sharp by end of season, dont want to get caught holding them all.

different buyers post different prices.. they sell to the auctions to make profit therefore thats why u get the range... some wanna make more than others... its best to stick with auctions.

Here where we live i have two different buyers we sell to,They both were within a dollar or so of each other.

Coon

XL $4
XXL $6
XXXL $8
These prices are for them Scraped also otherwise $2 less not scraped,Would rather keep a few for up coming pups,They both said wait till the beginning of the year maybe go up a $1 or more not set in stone.Wish we could sell them where everyone else is sellin them,They both also said Russia and Europe not buying at this time.

Coyote,Red Fox,Grey Fox

$10 for either maybe should start hunting fox at night instead of coon lol..

They missed informed you. Prices wouldn't be 25.00 for XXXL here, if Russia, China and Europe weren't buying. That price is on the carcass.
