-- Killing alot of coon (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=384753)

another topic that comes up every year. I am first and foremost a coon HUNTER. Not a coon "finder" or a coon "looker" but to each his own. We have a good coon population here. If you enjoy seeing Mr. Ringtail in the tree and are happy walking away to tree him another day, good on ya. If I tree him after October 15th he's going on a stretcher.

Yeah i would rather kill boars than sows but my eyes just aint good enough to identify the sex before i shoot LOL

I can't tell what they are when they're 50 feet up either. Then again i've only been hunting them for about 5 years so i've got a lot to learn until then, I will just find out what they are after they come down.

You can't tell a lot of the time BUT you can allways have a preferance and that is what we were talking about. Anyone that would rather kill a sow than a boar is just ignorant.
One way you can tell is if it is in a tree with kittens. Another way is if there are two grown ones in a tree there is a good chance the biggest one is a boar. If you look threw a scope the one with wet tits is a sow. I was raised on a farm and new that before I was old enough to go coon hunting.........LMAO
