The SEC is dominant, its obvious they kill each other and make it hard for a team to go unbeaten, I mean look at Tennessee, one of the worse (actually pretty sure their THE worst) teams in the SEC, but they started playing UT Martin, easy game, then Oregon (pitiful 2nd half), then Florida, then UAB, then Georgia, by week, Alabama, and then South Carolina followed by Vandy and Kentucky and some other SEC underdogs.. I would love to see Ohio State or Boise take on that kind of schedule and stay a no loss team. My point being, when your in a tough conference you play tough teams..........By the way no one will have to worry about UT going to a bowl game and competing this year with our 15 true freshman starters (as of the LSU game) LOL we have said it for the last 3 years "there is always next year".

THERE ARE GOOD TEAMS IN MOST CONFERNCES, THEY JUST CAN NOT HELP IT THAT ALL TEAMS THEY HAVE TO PLAY ARE NOT GOOD. THE ACC HAS SEVERAL GOOD TEAMS AND THEY BEAT ON EACH OTHER ALSO. I REMEMBER MARYLAND WHIPPING TENNESSE IN A BOWL GAME. THE BIGEAST ALSO, EVEN WITH THE TEAMS THAT LEFT THE CONFERNCE. WEST VIRGINIA SO TO SPEAK. THEY HAVE BEEN GOOD AGAINST OPPONETS FROM OTHER CONFENCES IN BOWL GAMES. AND THEY GAVE LSU A GIFT THIS YEAR. AND ANYONE WHO WATCHED KNOWS THAT. AND I HAVE IT ON DVR IF YA WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN. LOL.
I JUST WISH THERE WAS A PLAYOFF IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. THEN IF BOISE GOES UNDEFEATED AND THEN COMES INTO THE PLAYOFFS AND WHIPS EVERYONES BUTT. THEN THEY WILL BE WHERE THEY DESERVE. BUT I FEEL AT LEAST GIVE THEM THE CHANCE IF THEY GO UNDEFEATED!!!!!! AND I AM NOT A FAN OF BOISE.

Boise doesn't play anybody.
Any team can get up to play 1 or 2 real games a year. That means they don't have to worry about depth, injuries etc.
Playing 1 or 2 real games a year with 10 scrimmage games is much different than playing week in and week out in a tough conference. Much, much different.
Just because they beat the teams on their schedule doesn't mean they earn a right to slip in the back door to a National Championship game. There's probably at least 20 teams or more that could go undefeated with their schedule, even some that are considered "bad" football teams that play in a real conference.

They don't want to get shown up by Boise State so they tuck tail and run. Better check you're facts RIP. Boise would love to SCHEDULE more tough temas to show/PROVE how good they are.

But really Vrigil you can't say that. We can assume this team would beat that team, so on and so forth but unless it actually happens who really knows. There was a special on ESPN last year pretty much saying that major confrence schools were afraid of playing Boise State. I think after a team wins as many games as they have in the last few years people need to give them there due respect. TCU is another overlooked team. They have a talented bunch of guys and a very very good coach. He is probably the best coach in college football but he gets overlooked. We all have our favorite teams but just because we like out team doesn't mean they are the best. I don't have a favorite team I just like watching.
Hound hunter. Nobody has ducked Boisie.
Heck I remember when they used to say that about Sanhose State when they had their good teams and Pat Hill I think was the coach.
Tennessee scheduled them and beat them, even when Tennessee wasn't a contender for the East, but I the other team won their conference.
Of course Tennessee scheduled Ucla, Oregon, Miami, Cincinati etc.
Boisie CAN get on the schedule of those teams if they just WOULD.
They have to bite the bullet and realize that they haven't earned a home and home yet.
FSU used to have to go everywhere and play on the road too till they earned the respect of the conferences. They didn't get home and homes either.
Boisie asking for a home and home is too much to ask given where they are as a program and where the big schools are.
That said, even UGA scheduled them and beat them like a drum, then UGA proceded to get beat like a drum by a mediocre Tennessee team the next week.
They need to earn their BCS spot, and they haven't earned it yet. Right now they are big frogs in a tiny pond.
They need to go to a bigger pond still before they can go to the lake.

Well I have to disagree, respectfully of course! Rip, you are guilty of judgeing teams on what thev've done in the past! This is not last year or the year before that! The goal year in and year out is to see who has the best football team OF THAT YEAR.
Moore's numbers speak for themself.
PASSING COMP ATT YDS TD
K. Moore 91 135 1336 14
Boise ranks in the in the top 14 in every major stat and 4th in pointe per game and 11th in points against. They played what were to be 2 very good football teams in V Tech and Oregon State. You show me one other team that's more exciting to watch. Austin Pettis and Titus young are going to be big time recievers in the NFL.

Maybe if the cards play out just right, we will get to watch Boise St. play
the No. 2 SEC team in a BCS bowl game! We will get to see how good they
really are(Boise St.). Their QB is really good. I remember when Alabama
played one of those weak WAC teams(Utah), and got their lunch handed
to em, and Boise St. beat Oklahoma in another bowl game! My Buckeyes
have sucked as much, or more than Alabama, Florida, and LSU, but it
seems college football is cyclical. Michigan, GA, Tenn., and a few others
are going through those down years. The right coach usually will turn things around!
I still think the BCS championship runs through the SEC!

Boise has great depth. Hell they returned almost there whole team from last year. People think they are scared of the "big game" there itching for the chance!!! Like I said RIP teams avoid Biose NOT the other way around. Most major confrence schools want weak non confrence games and Boise is a far cry from weak. Another team nobody is talking about is Utah. They are well coached and a solid team. TCU will have a tough battle with them. I believe TCU will win but not by much. I can't wait to see Auburn get pounded this Saturday!

This is off topic from our unending debate, but tonight on ESPN U or ESPN 2 there is a great high school football game. Neither team is a world beater, but they are league rivals. Centerville Elks vs Wayne Warriors. Oh,
they are Ohio teams. Wayne has the No. 1 ranked H.S. QB in the country, (OSU signee) and Centerville has 5 D1 recruits. Waynes QB has been injured since the first game of the year(high ankle sprain), but I think he`s almost at 100% for this game. Centerville has a great defense. Should be a fun game to watch. Centerville runs the triple option and Wayne has Braxton Miller. If he`s healthy, that might be all they need!
Rip do you honestly think that high school stars aren't dying to play for Boise State? There coach is a very very good at getting top talent. He has been for years.

Who cares about confrence! It's about the best team!
ok boise would probably get beat by most of the top ten teams. what makes boise qualified to be in the top 10. they play nobody at all thats why nobody knows how good boise really is. till they play a bowl game there is no competition for them other than san jose state or l monroe teams like that.
imo to be in the top ten there should be a schedule qualification. teams that dont play anybody shouldnt be in the top ten.

Okay Matt lets go with that for a moment. What happens when nobody will play Boise? What happens then? Oregon State and Virginia Tech were supposed to be the best in there confrence to start the year. Boise played them both and beat them both, they can't control what they do after they beat them. Virginia Tech is going to win the ACC. They will not get beat the rest of the year.
2 games out of 12 dont make a tough season or shedule

Well that's not apples to apples. That will happen though when one team wins goes 13-14 or some crazy number over 2 years (The SEC did that, only lost 1 bowl in 2 years and that's when they changed how they matched them up).
As for Boisie playing the SEC # 3 or whatever, that's still conference champ against #3 PLUS Boisie didn't have that hard 12 game schedule to cost them half their depth due to injury etc.
So basically you are playing a team that has been through heck during the year against a team that has played scrimmage games for the last 8 games.
The reason Boisie would be aboult like Vanderbilt in the SEC has nothing to do with their starters, it's their depth.

WHY WOULD BOISE HAVE TO DO ALL THE TRAVELING. ARE THE TEAMS IN SEC NOT WILLING TO TRAVEL OR PLAY ON THAT UGLY BLUE FIELD?
I ALSO DOUBT THAT ANY PLAYER ON THAT TEAM WOULD SHY AWAY FROM BIG 10, OR SEC.
AS FOR PLAYING HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS, I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THAT.
I SAY GIVE THEM A SHOT!!!! BESIDES SEC #3 BEING BANGED UP AND BOISE NOT, NOW YOU ARE DREAMING. I AM SURE THEY HAVE THERE SHARE OF INJURIES TO KEY PLAYERS.
