Maybe bein just a 19 yro girl she was wantingto make sure she handled things corectly,maybe she couldnt sleep thinkin she may have been wrong?maybe she didnt want a a$$ that thinks hes noes everything to spout off?? Maybe she hadnt judges alot o casts but was the most qualified?

Danny Ramey: there was no vengence against that me tooing bitch getting first tree cause we know our dogs put up that coon first we just did not call them fast enough. His dog would sit by our feet until it heard another one of our dogs start working a good track. that thing was a piece of trash that i would never feed in my kennels but we did not hold that against him at all. She was not looking for anyone to tell her she did a good job. She just wanted to be sure she judge the cast right.; Which she did and she did very good job even with an ass hole in our cast. If I was judging he would have been leaving within the first drop with as big of an ass hole he was being. She did a very good job she is a very honest and fair judge.

I JUST THOUGHT SHE WAS ASKING BOUT HONESTY AND I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS A YOUNGIN. YOU'VE DONE REALLY REALLY WELL IF YOUR 19 AND JUDGING CAST ALL I WAS SAYING IS THAT I THOUGHT IT WAS A DISCUSSION AND I OFFERED THAT JUST BECAUSE A DOG DOESN'T BUST THROUGH THE WOODS ITS NOT OUR PLACE TO TRY AND MINUS THE DOG BECAUSE IT DOESN'T HUNT LIKE WE WOULD WANT OURS TO AND IF SHE'S 19 THEN IT PROBALLY HELPED HEARING THAT NOT EVERYONE THINKS THAT A DOG SHOULD HUNT THE SAMEWAY. IF THE GUY WAS AN AHOLE AND HIS DOG WAS A P.O.S. THEN JUST WAIT AND IT'LL ALL WORK OUT IN THE END OF THE HUNT. Yes that is correct we both got drawn out together and we both have had these dogs before we knew each other say they dont got both our names on the paper so it is not illegal for us to get drawn out together and the other guy had not hunted in a hunt for over ten years . and alex was the best qaulified for being judge

I was at the club house and the 3rd member of the cast hadn't been in a UKC hunt for over 10 yrs. How do I know? I talked to him because I hadn't seen him before. There were only 3 reg. casts and there were only a few people there that were qualified to judge. Alex was one of them. When the casts were drawn her boyfriend was drawn in the same cast. The casts were drawn with everyone watching. Non hunting guide. Talking to him it sounded like he hunts in a urban area as he said no one wants to hunt with him because of all the traffic. Sounded like his dog was a walk dog and wouldn't go very far. Dog is most likely a good pleasure dog. I don't know how much of the rules he knew. Sounded like a nice enough person at the club. I wasn't on the cast so don't know what happened. I do know Alex and would let her judge as she is honest and does her best to be fair.

Well in my oppinion that was a poor job on the club. They should have assigned a non hunting judge, of course the guy would be mad he felt like he was beat before the hunt even started. Now, I bet he won't be back at that club again.

Give me a break. Go to any small club and everyone there knows each other very well. I don't care if they are boyfriend/girlfriend, married or just buddies....the club/MOH did nothing wrong. Pick your casts and pick the most qualified and honest person from the cast as the judge.

Even with a non-hunting judge you still end up with problems. AND DON'T SAY ANYTHING DIFFERENT.....The worst case of judging I have seen was with a non-hunting judge, his buddy was hunting a dog...WOW, You should have seen the crap they were trying to get away with!

It's a pretty sad club and "group" if the club is not able to find a good honest knowledgeable person that could serve as a non hunting judge. At any club if the MOH KNOWS that 2 out of the 3 cast members are good freinds, brothers, father and son, husband and wife, related, he should ALWAYS do everything in his power to put a good non hunting jusge on the cast.

UKC should also require all Hunt Directors or MOH's put a non hunting judge on ALL 2 dog casts if at all possible, over the years I have seen and heard about far to many screwy situations that come up in a 2 dog cast.

I hate judging the cast for the sole reason that I want to concentrate on my dog only, not 3 other dogs.

I seen it from a non hunting judge that went with a handler in a purina cast on a time out and didnt get his dog back in the hour but the non hunting judge said he had him caught with 40 seconds left but still didnt get back to the trucks (meeting spot) til 8 minutes after the hour was up,that was just the begining of it all,non hunting judge is also ukc feild rep!
