Great show and thanks - Do you have an adress that we may send small donations? That is what we should be talking about here - I applaud your time and efforts to give us all something we can enjoy. I have shared the show and have had interest to take some first time coonhunters after watching.

Posted by deschmidt27 on 02-15-2010 01:42 PM:

It will be back on DirecTV next week, according to the Network.

If you're moved to send a donation, it would be much appreciated! We are still struggling with enough sponsorship to kick-off Season II.

Joe

To boost your ratings I would recommend something...And this is just my 2 cents remember. Get more viewings of well known names of each game.. Legends of their perspective sport you know.

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.

Ben,

We have a "legends" episode in the mix right now....

We have to mix it up, and the comments are good ones. Our problem...we only have 13 shows per quarter. Everyone wants big game, small game, coon hunting, squirrel hunting, legends....competition hunts, pleasure hunts....we are working on them as quickly as finances will allow.....

Sponsors are coming!

Joe,
Was tryin to think of something that would be cheap and hopefully easily to film, but the idea of having a coyote episode struck me as a no brainer.....Not sure how it is for you guys in indiana, but I'm sure there has got to be some Coyote pens around which would give limited space for hounds to run, ample amount of game/coyotes, and its done in the day time...and also I would think it would be fairly easy to film a coyote competition hunt..Everyone knows that coyotes are everywhere so its not like you are traveling hundreds of miles to do a wild boar hunt or bear hunt....As you can probably tell I'm not too educated in the sport of coyote hunting with hounds, but I have friends and family that do those competitions...Just a thought?

wish Dish would change the description and original air date on each episode. I can't tell which DVR episode is which without clicking on it and beginning the episode

Heck at at glance it looks like we are in reruns.

Ladies on TV

With regards to a "Legends" episode... Joe and I were tossing around the idea of an episode with 3-4 of the top Lady handlers. Women that have made a mark on their breed or the sport, or who have placed in some major events.

It would be an episode where myself and these 3-4 ladies go on a hunt and while we're in the woods, we discuss the sport from their perspective as a female hunter and sportswoman.

What do you think???

I wouldn't be suprised if Joe's wife Tammy is one of the gals featured. I've heard more than once she can handle her own with the big boys. She might be a better handler than Joe.

i'll tell you what doesn't look right to me and that's how well daves' bibs fit. no self respecting hound man wears bibs that fit that well. those have been custom made for a tv star. there's no doubt about that.

Bibs... As we walked more and more miles each episode, they started becoming less snug! Somehow they've become tight again.

Wesley - Isn't it easier to ask for forgiveness than permission???

In all seriousness, I thought a ladies hunt might provide some interesting insights to the sport.
