As for the comment on Goody's score, he had a very respectable and believable score of 750 plus points. A 1000 point difference. As for the buying off issue, I still haven't heard how many cast members seen this dog score all of these points. It may be possible to buy 1 crook for a big score, but I personally believe it would be nearly impossible to get 4 crooks together in a random draw to do any "buying off". There are some folks that don't have a price. The issue here is to see if it is a contest of manipulating the rules to get where you and a buddy can put anything you care on a scorecard because you are there by yourself, or if it is a contest to see which dog can tree more coon. If anyone ever notices, all of these big scores are with just 2 witnesses, the dog owner and his buddy. That should be a red flag to some folks.

Last night was the first night of the Minnesota State Hunt. The winning dog scored 1600 and something. This dog hunted in a 4 dog cast, two dogs dropped out after the winning dog had over 1000 points, the judges dog stayed in it until the end. There were no feeder buckets involved. In fact, I talked with the guide and judge and he said he tried dropping this dog on deer and skunks and she just kept treeing coon. If it can happen here in Minnesota it can easily happen in Indianna. It just takes one hell of a coon dog, very few of us will ever own one that good. This one is Bess 3 owned by Paul Dressen (Bess 1 and 2 were also that good and I don't think 3 will be the last Paul owns). Congratulations Paul.

Doug, drew Dean and that Mouse bitch he had before Roxy and seen her put up 1050 cruiseing the last 30 minutes because he knew he had it won. She was getting struck 30 seconds off the snap and treed 50 yards away in under 2 minutes. Short walk to the coon, plus points, start it all over. She did that drop after drop. And he sold her soon after that cause he didn't like her. But he did like Roxy. Told me a man with a family can't turn down that kind of money for no dog.

I think that you need to get a life and quit criticizing people because they come in with a good score.
What does it matter to you if the score is legit or not?
UKC believes it and that's all that matters.
Why can't you ever be happy for someone that wins instead of always saying "THEY CHEATED!!!"
You seem to be a very jealous person to me.

Opinions
I am not saying anyone cheated but I have hunted all my life and know for a fact that it is usually very hard for the best coondog that ever lived to always tree coon up trees that can be shined in August. The truth is that I have been on casts where a dog made a tree every 100 yards and didn't have anything. I have been on casts where almost everyone but me wanted to score every tree the dogs made whether there was a coon up there or not. I have never been on a cast where this type of high scoring has been done. I don't know what went on on that cast, I wasn't there, but everyone has their right to their own opinion and my opinion is that it is highly unlikely that a dog could make this type of score in August. That is just my opinion, nothing more.

Well....
Maybe you weren't hunting with the best coon dog?
With all do respect, anything is possible. Especially in coon hunting.

Why do the big scores only happen in the major hunts?
The true ? was how many dogs where on the cast or people.
