If my dog pick's a cold track & I see several coon on the way to them that I know they been under that individual's chance of a permanent address deminish's greatly if said lack of ability continue's to be shown.
Not talkin bout hot nosed pop up dog's that gotta go most of the way thru a section before they think about huntin. A true "LAY UP" dog more than not does not finish the prehistoric track they started on unless the coon are that scarce.
There is a difference...........

Guys yall really dont know what all those dogs do. I gaurantee that a dog beats around on a bad track and stumbles across a hot coon and you think that you have the best dog ever. I am not critisizing anyone I'm just saying that we dont know what all them dogs are doing out there. As long as they are running and treeing coon on a regular basis I dont care how they do it

True but what if your dog quits a track for another, runs back by the cast, finds a better, and runs back by again. What do you think the judge would say.

I think dogs switch tracks way more than most people realize, We had a cage coon get loose one time that was wearing a collar turned a good dog loose on it, it was only about 10 minutes old. Dog got open fast and ran a good fast track about a quarter and fell treed, Guess what different coon. Probably happens way more often than we know.
