Not sure what you are wanting to get from all of this? It reminds me of a little league game getting mad at a call. What does it solve by getting on here and degrading the judge, club and UKC and its reps? I will tell ya NOTHING. the decision was made by the master of hounds and that is it. Getting on here and bashing everyone will not change anything. You already said you will not be back well sorry to hear that. We will truly miss having you around and being part of one of the best clubs in UKC.

This is one of those post i didnt win so i got cheated.Take the loss and move on. A dog in shape can run 4 hours we hunted yesterday and almost 6 hours dogs still ready to go.

Gee didn't realize I bashed judges or club or master of hounds. As a mater of fact I believe I posted that Dale did an excellant job. I know the judges worked very hard, not once did I bash them. I also posted that I had met some very nice people and enjoyed running my dog with them. Get it straight or don't post at all.

From Field to Show and Show to Field the way it should be

OK as a rep I will try to explain why we made our decision the way we did.
Master of Hounds explained to the 3 reps, Jed, and Assistant MOH that a dog had been entered in the wrong cast and won. he also explained that it had been brought to his attention that it was done on purpose. He also explained that he had advanced the 2nd place dog but was unsure that this was the right thing to do. This is why a meeting was called.
THERE IS NO RULE ADDRESSING THIS IN THE RULE BOOK! BUT THERE WILL BE NOW!

After hearing the facts we (as in everyone) We agreed that the wrong dog is scratched and felt that since no more rounds would be ran on Saturday and since we had daylight left we felt those 4 dogs should get to go back out and run to determine a winner.

Sunday morning the casts were posted and the person who won this cast came up and said he inadvertantly enetered the wrong dog yesterday and he was truely sorry for the mistake. He had several dogs entered and that he had pulled out the right one initialy but his buddy said it was the wrong one and switched.
Since we allowed them to rerun Saturday we had to let them rerun Sun. morning. Making sure we had the right dogs!!

When all was said and done there were 2 misconducts filed pertaining to this cast and UKC will deal with them Im sure.

The other cast was not rerun do to the wrong dog entered because it did not win. Why did we rerun this cast? Because the we felt it was not fair to them to scratch them for another handlers error. At the time we had time to rerun it so it seemed to be the right thing to do.

As an after thought and after reading this board maybe we should have just scratched the cast and went on. We thought we were being fair to the cast.

If it was between getting scratched and getting to rerun I will take rerunning everytime!!

There will be a rule in place to cure this from happening!!!

Also I would like for everyone to think of something. With every sport comes integrity whether it be in beagling or football. A high school team could put a player that graduated 2 years ago in a uniform and more than likely very few would know. My point is that if we lose the integrity what do we have left?
Was this done on purpose? I sure hope not!!!

THREE RIVERS BEAGLE CLUB again was outstanding!!! Had a great time and look forward to coming back. Jerry Livermore you will be missed. Luckily you have some great members to fill in.

Matt Glomski and J-Dell - I judged her in the last 2 rounds and she looked awsome!!! What a jump dog!!!! Congrats to you and all the winners. That semi-final round I will remember for a long time!!!

Wow, when explained like that, hard to tell what all the bickering is about, if I got beat under those circumstances and got another chance to win instead of being scratched, I don't care if it's 5 more rounds, it's a chance instead of heading home early.

It's sad to say, but it seems like when it comes to the big hunts there's always those who lack integrity. I know Jed and the rest of UKC work hard at keeping people like that out of our sport and I'm sure this instance won't be any different.

I always thought you had a lot of respect for me as a rep and judge, and I want to tell you I left that meeting at the PP world knowing your daughter had been treated fairly. This was a mistake that had to be righted and by all means I felt by the end that she had been treated fairly. The way we handled it was the right way. Thanks!

I have been in upper management of an extremely large nationwide business for MANY years.

This said, sometimes documentation is done NOT because it is felt someone did something on purpose but just to document that it happened. If it or similar instances never happen again, no harm / no foul. BUT if anything of the sort does happen again, there is a paper trail to show that it may be "something" to look into.

I have no idea for sure, but this may be why these papers were filed. If it would happen again in the future and UKC had not documented the first issue, how would that look on them and how would they follow up appropriately?

If it's true that the handler questioned the owner on the wrong dog being put down and the owner said run it anyway. Well then that would be enough to file a misconduct report. They sure don't file them when an honest mistake is made.

I have always enjoyed our casts together and do respect you. This is a new and unusual problem that was not covered in the rules. I talked to Dave McVay about it and went over the rules, and we discussed how the decisions were made.
I also think Dale did as good as anyone could faced with this situation. In no way have any hard feelings against the club, they are not resposible for handlers and their conduct,nor was the judge.
I was upset that a report was not filed but that has been corrected. I am willing to let things take their course and will be satisfied with the outcome.
I feel it is unfortunate the cast had to be rerun so many times by dogs being in wrong casts.
Its over and can be a learning expierence for everyone.
There is only one person I fault and I dont think I need to say names. Its in the report.
Again congrats to Matt and his dog. Job well done.

Think someone needs to put the truth in the whole situation. A guy made a mistake, his dogs got mixed up on the cast, they was scratched. Should have been the whole cast, but someone thought they would give the cast (Vicki/daughter) a chance to run again and again. I mean SOB, three chances to win...don't know about anyone else but I wasn't given three chances to make the next round.

Get over it!
