I been on it now for 3 mos.
Ditto! Diamond Naturals is the way to go. MOST other feeds ahve a high percentage of corn, which is not only undigestible, but has no nutritional value.

I used to feed the green diamond and purina dog chow and neither would keep mine fat enough.
In the winter I fed the nutro max feed 26/18 and worked great keeping him fat enough for the cold, but during the summer it burns him up.
Now I switched again and feed the science diet fitness. 21.5/14 and it keeps him perfect! I feed him more than what it calls for when hunting him hard and he still shows very little loss in weight. I think he will do well on it year long. And also produces little clean up.

I feed Purina Dog Chow. Dogs do good on it and it is at every WalMart. Alot of the other feeds are a 45 minute drive or more for me to go get.

all natural chicken

I'stuck with Diamond maintenace for 20 years. Even through the aflatoxic problem that I did not encounter, thank God. I'll try the "all natural Chicken" mainly cause it ain't too rich. Cheaper too. And I will be hunting hard for the next 5 months. But if they start to fall off, I'm back to Maintenance. Just like my women, I like to see a hint of ribcage. They can last all night.

i use the walmart special, ole roy high performance, both my dogs are high energy, and it puts the weight on and keeps it on! i hunt them hard too! when it starts getting colder, as it is now, i add a pound of bacon grease once a week and man these dogs look healthy and sleek! i know that some will frown on this ,but i got 2 skinny ass hounds awhile back and made one show champion and the other is just points away! ole roy high performance and bacon grease turned a street bum and a bag lady in to a prince and a princess! need i say more?
