I got a pup out of D and a gunslinger female. 3 months old. Cant let him out of the kennel without a trackin collar. Packed him with me 2 nights ago just to get him out in the dark. We tree'd one pretty quick within 150 yards but he went all the way and was at the tree when i got there. Let him run in the yard one day last week lost him looked everywhere around and my neighbor 1/2 mile down the road called and said he had my puppy.

Im likin my pup out of D, only time will tell.

TRAVIS HOW MUCH HAVE YOU HUNTED THE PUP AND IS HIS MOUTH GOOD ?

Posted by Travis Sawney on 06-10-2010 08:23 PM:

I havent had him much maybe 6 times. He hasnt even seen a coon yet. I hunt 5 or 6 nights a week even if its for a couple turn outs. I've only packed the pup when i get the old dog out for some exercise. He's gone all the way from the first night though.
He's gone twice this week and tree'd last night. He's got a real coarse mouth but every now and again it breaks over and a horn comes out lol. He bawled on the tree. Hows lady sound on tree? Have you had your pup out yet?

Posted by DAVY FREEMAN on 06-11-2010 03:18 PM:

LADY WOULD BAWL ON TREES WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG BUT MADE A CHOP MOUTH TREEDOG JUST ABOUT 60 BARKS A MINUTE. SUICIDE SCREAMED ON TREES WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG BUT NOW IS A HARD CHOP MOUTH TREEDOG. HAVEN'T STARTED TAKING DEAMON YET BUT WILL PRETTY QUICK.

DOUBLE D

I HAVE DREW DOUBLE D TWICE, AND HE DOESN'T FALSE BARK, HE JUST CRACKS THAT JAW QUICK IF HE SMELLS A COON THE SLIGHTEST BIT, IN THE AIR, ON THE GROUND, OR JUST IN THE AREA. IT MAY TAKE A SEC. FOR HIM TO FIND THE TRACK OUT OF THERE, BUT HE WILL, AND HE WILL KEEP BARKING GIVES ALOT OF MOUTH. SECOND TO NONE HE DOESN'T PASS COONS UP, AND WHEN HIS HEAD GOES UP, TWO LOOK DOWN. HE'S INDEPENDANT GOOD TREE DOG, HOLDS PRESSURE, AND HAS LIVE RACOONS!!!!!!

Let me know how he comes along. I think i'll start pushing mine a lil more when the cherries get ripe. They ought to be cold cold nosed track drivers.

Whats the bottom side of you guys pups?

Posted by observer on 07-19-2010 01:03 AM:

I hunted with a 7 month old the other night. Was not broke to lead, would not load, and got sick in the truck.

And ran a track by herself like an old hound, swam a creek and treed on the other side by herself like an old dog. She sounded like Foghorn Leghorn and stood high on the tree. And had the coon. I told the guy to name her "Spittin Image", because she surely is. 4th trip to the woods.
