I am hunting Smithurst hounds right now and have some Smithurst/Big Time Albert pups also. The are some of the fastest learning,grittiest hounds I've ever seen.

I have hunted black and tans since the 70's.I currently have a 10 yr. old male out of Scaggs Slammer and a Nt. Ch. female out of Gunner and Zip that Max Poindexter and I owned.I also have a Nt. Ch. female thats 2 out of Doug Moores Gr. Nt.s Joe and Gal she finished with 2 firsts and a second. The old dog is by far a better hound but is one of those unlucky hounds that couldnt get a first place win.I have a pup out of Bill Schenkers Jet am getting one out of the Stinger Joe dog in missouri from Tommy Withers.Tommy and I own the nt. ch female together as well.Some of my favorite hounds that I have owned or been in partners with others on are Gr.Nt. ch. Logans Black Zip,Nt. Ch Freemans Smokin Wheel, and Gr Nt Ch Robidoux Sue.Zip was probably the best competition hound and Sue was the best coon hound ,she could tree a coon under any condition .Those two female spoiled me as I have had a hard time finding or raising anything that is close to them in ability. I think my age and job may have something to do with that as well the couch can sure get comfortable.I am also going to get a pup from Matt Noll out of his Zip female and Koshkos Gr Nt . Our season open Sept 1 so I am hoping for some cool weather and rain as we have been in a serious drought here in southeast Nebraska.

FREEMAN, LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANNA LET THE TWO YR OLD GO!!!! I HAVE HUNTED WITH JOE AND GAL ALL OVER THE NATION. I HAVE BEEN HUNTING GAL THESE PAST COUPLE OF YRS AND SHE IS A WELL BALANCED HOUND. I'M HEADING UP TO AUTUMN OAKS TOMORROW WITH GAL AND GONNA GIVE IT A STAB!! TAKE CARE

I just bred to a dog named Gr Nite Ch Folkerts Saline Creek Black Hammer , he is a heck of a track dog. and a hard hunting dog with a good mouth. not a real fancy tree dog, but will stay forever. He is out of Scaggs Slammer and out of a bitch that is out of Scaggs mistyII( she is a littermate to slammer ) so pretty heavy on Scaggs breeding. I know Randy Scaggs is pretty picky about dogs, and always packed a good one.

Her mama's daddy was GRCH'PR'Everrett's Bubba and I think that he went back to the Scaggs dogs.

Roy Folkerts owned him. I think he sold him. I've hunted with him. He has a good nose and would tree lay ups as well as run em hard. I only seen him 1 night but I sure liked him. Get ahold of Roy and see whom he sold him to.

I drew a nice little Scagg's bred female at blackntan days on Sat. night, She was a quick tree dog and treed very hard with a pretty good mouth. We don't have any of that bloodlines but I liked what I saw.

We still have Dixie. She started to come around at the end of last season. She is a real independent little dog. She hunts for herself, and is about as good of a track dog as we have (IMO). Don't listen to my dad, 'cause he never hunts. I'll have to be the one givin' the low down on what our dogs can do in the woods, LOL. I hope she'll start hookin' up on the wood like she did a few months ago.

The Hammer dog is a coon dog for sure. I hunted with him a bunch when Roy had him. He sold him to a guy in Northern Missouri. I think the man's name is Bob Goodwin. His number is listed in the B&T breed albums under the Missouri section.

If you're looking to ad some cold trailing ability to your hounds he is the best I've had the pleasure of hunting with at being able to drive that cold track, and I'm just one of the few who have made that statement. I've also seen some pretty nice pups out of him in the last few months.

Hey I hunt B&T here in Texas,my nt ch female is Schenker, blk hoss and midnite screaming eagle in her, her son is setemup ace cross and her dau is out of Eddie Fenders Crum dog, they do pretty good, got a young female out of nelson`s nt. rex and a gr nite female the other day but i think i`n going to sell her -- just don`t have time or place to traing her-- plus iv`e got pups on the way out of setemup bojack to many to hunt lol

Do you still live in Rockingham? I have a brother that lives up there, thats about two hours from me. I have seen where you have done some pretty impressive winning with trouble and I have always wondered what she is out of? And what did you breed her to to get the pups you have?

I know that this topic is old but this is the first time I have been on here.

I have two b n t's . Nite Ch female out of Ace and Kansas Jewell and 10 month old out of my female and Midnight Special.

I guess I will put my 2 cents worth in.
I have a 3 year old CH.NITE.CH. Rock Solid Clubber (Clyde) He is Screaming BO on top and Schenker bred on bottom. 11th all black hunt 01, 6TH reg. B&T days 02, And 4th all black hunt 03. Also High scoring B&T at IN state youth hunt.
I also have a 2 year old female CH.NITE.CH. Buck Creeks Jo. She is High Dollar Bill on top And Hobos hoss on bottom. She placed 7th on Fri. this year at B&T days. A tree dog for sure.
Then I have a 20 month old male Who is out of a nite.ch. Out of Smokey II. He is also Super Sting on Bottom.He has a 7th place win he picked up at the UKC youth Nationals. My neighbor handles him in the youth hunts.
Then I have a 11 month old female Out of Hobos Hoss and a 3 thime albert female. She is well on her way. Mike Harrell done a good Job of starting her for me.
A hound I had that I reall miss is PKC CH. NITE.CH. Buck Creeks A Little Bit Smokey. He is the sire of my 20 month old. He was out of Smokey 2 spot and a Skaggs bred female. He died@2 years of age of Kidney failure.
I also own half of a female that is out of Blackland Bear & NITE.CH. Schotts heartbreaker Sue. She has a litter of pups right now off of Clyde if anyone is interested. I will give some one a deal. These pups are Screaming BO top and bottom.
Thats all the biscuit eaters I have now.
