thats for sure, and inside is really the only place that matters anyways. I won't be there, but wouldn't let this stop me one way or the other.

You are about as wishy washy as they come. The whole thread is based on the fact that government is telling us what we can and cant do outside. Smoking is legal. If you dont like it stay away from those who are smoking.

I do not smoke, I quit about 7 years ago because I had enough will power to do so. It does not bother me to be around smoke. I could see where it could bother former smokers very badly though.

I dont think anyone has a problem with the ban on smoking inside.

The issue is the fact that we are now truly starting to be micro-managed.

UKC NEEDS TO MOVE AO TO ANOTHER LOCATION NEXT YEAR WHERE THERE ARE NOT STUPID AZZ LAWS LIKE THIS

So I guess since we don't like government and laws we should all do what ever we want whenever we want. Drinking alcohol is legal, why shouldn't I be able to get in my car and drive after I drink a case of beer.

If you don't like the government or laws why don't you move to another country.

I don't think they should use live coon at a nite hunt either.

Well from what I'm hearing is this: YES it covers ALL of the fairgrounds!! YES it will be policed!!!

The buildings have ALWAYS been NON-SMOKING but this year it covers the GROUNDS...

Look at how big of an impact that smoking has on some peoples lives! Some won't come just cause they can't smoke, miss out on a great time cause you can't light up for a couple hours while on the grounds. Like said earlier this isn't UKC's policy it's the fairgrounds. The fairgrounds in Richmond are a great place to have it and to want to move just for smoking is pretty rediculous. I don't have a problem with it outside, but their laws are their laws.

I agree with most, if they are going to continue this policy UKC should consider moving it, banning smoking OUTSIDE IS WRONG.

It is discrimination to the smoker.

Most Smokers are as a rule are generally rude about their habit. They will walk righ up in a group and smoke, stand in door ways that you have to go through to get inside and such not thinking of others. I wish it was like this everywhere around here as well.

Theres plenty of fresh air on the outside for everyone, "including" smokers.

I dont smoke anymore but i am sick of you self important non smokers that think the world revolves around you. If I owned a restarant or bar and I wanted it to be a place where people could smoke who are you or anyone else to tell me people can't smoke im my place of business. There have always been non smoking places for people who don't want there air poluted. Well hell maybe we should ban a few more things like colonge, purfume or anything else you the ones the universe revolves around don't like....

Very hot smokey topic!

When Im around someone smoking and if I don't want to smell the crap I just move to a new area. Pretty easy!

Smoking outside doesn't harm anyone but the smoker.

"Second Hand Smoke" is greatly, greatly exaggerated, the scientific evidence is just not there.

It's a political issue, nothing more. It's one group of people telling someone else what they can and can't do because they "don't approve".

I don't smoke. I hate it, I wish no one did it. BUT....

I don't have the right to force someone else not to smoke, ESPECIALLY outside.

I smoke and I try my best to keep second hand smoke away from those who dont. I dont smoke in restaraunts or in any other confined building. I dont smoke in my house because its bad for the kids and my wifes allergic to it.
Im really allergic to perfume so I think that if Im courteus enough to not smoke in a confined place, shouldnt the fat lady with 2 gallons of perfume on not be allowed in a confined space either?

The first part of your statement has no comparison to smoking.

The second part all i have to say is

Until you have served in the military, which im sure you have not, you should keep your trap shut about moving to another country.
I have pulled my time and I have helped to defend our rights to be able to do things like smoke outside. So pull your time and see if your opinion changes. Dont get on here and tell a vet to move to another country A**hole

Smokin;

The same people that complain about second hand smoke will throw a bunch of sticks & charcoal together & let their kids stand directly in the smoke at their campsites at A.O.'s making "SMORES" & never think about the effect of that smoke on them or their kids! Seems kinda humorous to me!!!...

And I'm sure they don't think nothing about all the garbage they dump into the air when they jump into their trucks for a night of coon hunting. Or fire up their furnace when it gets cold outside. Or , the fact that their neighbors have to smell their kennels. The list could go on and on. But , I'm sure it's different because they're the ones doing it.
