It was not a one dog cast. It was a two dog cast, and I believe the score was higher than that. The other cast member was a young man from the Prescott area near Hale. He told me his dog backed ole Barker on every tree. So there wasn't the issue of waiting 5 minutes.

Gentlemen, the young man said it was nothing short of amazing. This same young man was at the show and hunt with his father, mother, and all of his sisters.

My top score I think was 875+.

Larry, Now you got me thinking your right it was a black and tan female... and she was stuck to Barker like glue! Sorry for the mistake... But the score is correct it was 2025+

Funny

I have double cast wins with 25+ on Friday and 125+ on Saturday. But I am pretty sure the highest score was my second place to get my nitech on Blu and it was 425+ no minus.

you dont split last strike, each dog would get 25.

If it was a tie (Each handler strikes at the same time) you wouldn't split it?

1,500+ 125- total was 1,375+ this is the best score I ever had and to beat it all there was snow on the ground, it was only 2 weeks ago with "Slim Shady" a 2 year old Blue dog. I've scored 900+ two other times and minused out once with like 1,400+ 475- hunting a Blue female last year.

You wouldnt split 25. If 3rd and 4th strike were all that was left and there was a tie striking dogs you would split 50 and 25, which would be 75. 75 split would be 371/2. If dogs were cast back into dogs that were out on track and the dog struck in for 50 was still running, then each dog would get 25 a piece when/if they were struck in.

After reading these posts it is obvious it takes a different type of hound to win in different types of hunting terrian, thin coon you need a strike dog, thick coon you need a locator, and it's nice to have both!!

First round of UKC World Finals 675+ with "The Dirty Rat". Previous high score was 600+ with my old Hillbilly Pete dog back in '79 and it was a 3 hour hunt.
