People accuse me of being color blind. The truth is I will hunt red ones, blue ones, black and white ones, yellow ones, black and tan ones, or even brindle ones; Just as long as they are English!

your the one that took it as a smartass comment. funny how people can read a statement and assume the way somebody is intending it.

That's a beauty of a coon anywhere and from down south that is a true monster. Congratulations and it is nice to see the excitement in your children's faces.

I can remember the first time I hunted in the south. I couldn't believe we were treeing so many young coon. The guys in the cast told me they were adults and I couldn't believe it.

I love that picture so much that I put it in my pictures to rotate in my screen saver slide show.

Its all good man,No offence to christy but yall down south dont know what a big coon is. When you shoot a coon out of a tree and something falls down bigger than the size of your dog then your in minnesota!

Several years back a guy from MN came down and went hunting. We go to the first tree and we find the coon and the guy says "What is that" we reply a coon and he then says " They sure are alot bigger back home". So we are driving to the next drop and a rabbit crosses the road and the guy says "What was that?" We reply a rabbit and he say They sure are bigger back home." Well after alittle while of hearing how much bigger everything is back home we are driving down the road and a big ole snapping turtle is crossing the road. The guy ask again "whats that?" this time we reply a "TICK".

21 pounds...

i wasn't off by that much, that's a nice coon but just an the upper side of average for the midwest. Up in Michigan or wisconsin that's just an average coon. Congrats on your catch, I was shocked to see it over 18.

That is a dandy Christy!

Let me tell you folks, for this neck of the woods 18-19 lbs is a whopper. When you break the 20lb mark it is very, very rare.

WOW After looking at the pics of it I would have thought it was bigger than the 26lber I killed a couple weeks ago.
