THAT is Nice! What a head... hope to see that one mounted! I am Not a deer hunter but grew up in a home with a BIG room full of different mounts including a Big Bison!... After my dad died my mother sold or gave them all away...and NOW I have a home that would have been perfect for them... go figure!
Anyway.. that will be beautiful on a wall...
Good Job! Happy Hunting Heather

My son Austin's taken this morning - opening day. He's 14 years old and has gotten at least one deer every year for the past 7 years. Pretty proud of him. (P.S. They DO have permission to hunt on this property.) LOL

We had a decent deer season this year. I decided to go again after a 3 year hiatus. I'd rather be running the hounds but buck season is about the only time I spent with relatives. We always have some good times with my dad, my uncles and cousins. I passed up a couple nice 120 -130 class bucks, waiting for a bigger one for the wall.
Here are some pics..
My cousin's buck (maybe 150 class?)
a neighbor kid's buck (this one will be talked about around here for awhile). Taken in a woods I often coonhunt (other than deer season), behind my brother in laws place where I keep the young dogs.
I think it scored around 206.
Overall harvest numbers have been down but it seems the quality of bucks taken are getting better. More SE MN bucks at www.magnumsports.com, select Kill Zone tab.
