I GUESS MINE WOULD GO IN THIS ORDER.#1 WALKERS,THATS WHAT I STARTED WITH AND STILL HAVE.#2 ENGLISH,GOT TO WANTING A REDTICK BACK IN THE LATE EIGHTYS.NOT ENOUGH TRACK MOUTH FOR ME.#3 BLK/TAN,TRIED ONE JUST BECAUSE.TOOK FOREVER TO PICK A TREE.#4 BLUETICK,HAD PAIR AND THEY BOTH LIVED TO FIGHT ANY AND ALL THE TIME.#5 REDBONE.CAUSE THATS WHAT "OLD DAN" AND "LITTLE ANN" WERE.#6 PLOTT STEVE FIELDER AND HIS DAD CAN MAKE YOU WANT ONE.ALSO HARRELS EASY DOG WAS NICE.#7 I GUESS IF IT GOT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THIS NEW COLORED DOG,LEAPORD CUR,I WOULD HAVE TO QUIT HUNTING.JUST TO UGLY.

1)Black and Tan- what I am hunting these days. Just been seeing more coon than I ever have before.
2)Walker-hard to knock them. They are the tops because the numbers don't lie. What I started with too.
3)English- seen some good uns
4)Bluetick
5)Redbone
6)Plott
People hunt per breed but I would take any that were accurate and done it the way a dog should. I like all the breeds just havn't hunted with as many of the other breed's as I have the top 3 I listed. They all have good ones and bad ones in them.
COON
quote:I second that Highbawl. I hunted walkers for years. But in the last 8 monthes I've been hunting Black and Tans. Sure do see alot more COONS forsure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are their hides worth anything or does anyone know any good recipes for them?

Leopards and my two young dogs are as good looking and smart as any dogs that I have had in many years. They were winding coons at 6 months by themselves. Never had dogs do this. My oldest is one and a half and he trees coon by himself and hunts close but is starting to hunt out. Will go with older dogs but I hunt him alone a lot. Loud on tree, long and tall with long muzzle and coyote feet. Minds like a collie dog. Starting to rig. Will carry coon out of woods for me. This breed is not #7 to me.
B&T
you ain't got B&T on there LOL i like them black dogs and them TW
