Im assuming this is a walker dog? I won't be attending southeastern this year but will be at the 50th annual Walker days in Portland, IN.

Guys you have done an outstanding job so far.

Currently $1630 in bids have been made, only 250 short of the most we have ever raised, so now i am challenging you all to get it past the mark and to $2,000. Based on past years there have been several bids in which people havent sent there money and if you don't send money the stud owner will be notified. Okay guys times almost up lets move now!! 22 minutes left! up to $1685... $315 away from 2000 guys we can do it!! These dogs have stud fees of 200 and up and only two or three have bids of even 100.. Lets get them bids goin guys its almost done!!

I normally sit back and read BUT, I would like to know why it's all about the money. I'm not trying to start anything, but every little bit will help. In another 5, 10 years that dog will be gone but our youth is the future of this sport. 50 bucks or 500 it should be about the kids not the money....

that makes a little more sense. the way i have it figured , if you raise a pup to 12 months and put it in the woods 20 times by the age of 12 months , you will have a minimum of $1000 into that pup. that means for a litter of 5 - $5000 dollars. if someone chooses to breed to a particular stud just to save $50-$200, then i dont really want that person breeding to my dogs. it undervalues the stud, not the youth. i knew if i held out i could get $300 rather than 50. anyhow this is a thread about stud fees being used to gather cash for the youth, so i guess it is all about the money. . to be honest i havent followed this thread since i made my initial offering, but if i went back through here i am sure some really nice dog's services were sold for way less than they were worth.

I agree on some parts BUT, Where you went wrong. It is not all about the MONEY, it is a about takeing kids hunting. For all of you that raise money for them my hat comes off. Including YOU. But it starts with picking them up before you pleasure hunting.
