I believe that the Hudson's Bay Company was founded in 1670 or something like that. Still plenty of critters around.

I do not trap, and do not care to, but I do not care if others choose to..... The outdoormen's worst enemy....other outdoorsmen.

I like trapping coyotes. I have the best luck with blended flat sets and dirtholes. Some people are not that bright and don't realize that furbearers are a renewable resource, don't let there ignorant attacks bother you. Traps are a tool and when used properly they are very safe and effective. mflores some people do things because they enjoy the experiance, money doesn't drive everything they do. Trapper4life keep enjoying the outdoors however you choose, it is your right to do so. Hopefully you will see a coyote running circles soon.

I am going to try the hole set do you use any special baits or scents?Thats the way I feel its never been about the money just being out there away from the every day life is a remarkable feeling and to me trapping isnt as easy as you make it sound there is a lot of work to it in my opinion as Scott and Kevin said furbearers are a renewable source.I feel that im not even putting a dent in anything my location will allow for me to trap and hunt for years to come hunting has been going on since the Indians in my area I have the proof right here. as a hound hunter myself I just dont understand why you would say something like that.

I like Russ Carmen's Canine Call and Ray Milligan's Steppenwolf 1 and Steppenwolf 2.

Seems pretty clear to me what group I'll align myself with. What group can honestly say they practice conservation? Houndsmen. If we want to protect our sport for years to come, the hunters and houndsmen and women should stand as far away as they can from the trapping group.

What does a beaver trapper average for a wage? 10 cents an hour? Dummies!

Ill be honest, I kill every coon I tree. Coon are over populated in my area and they are never going extinct. Im not saying in some places they are more scarce than others but my part of " conservation" as you call it is removing a pest from destroying property, crops, and helping the bird population. Tell me this is you get two mice in your house do you just try and trap the one? NO!! they are just as much of a pest as a coon. Trapping and houndsmen are and always have been a very tight knit, closely related group. As hunters and houndsmen we need to stand beside the trappers, if trapping becomes outlawed i hate to tell you but hunting would be gone right with it.

And one more thing, if you dont kill everything you tree what do you as a coon hunter average for wage? 10 cents an hour? Id be careful who you call a dummy!
