I had powder here at the house for a long time. I hunted her in PKC only for a whole summer and started calling her "money in the bank". So maybe you should throw that in there!

I think I am gonna call him The Jester. Those names on my web page were all the poker/card related names I could come up with. I think I'll name him after his daddy. Joe has Joker, I have Jester.

been fun looking back at this post. I still have the dog...still does a great job in the woods. Just turned 7 years old. I sadly, don;t get i the woods much anymore, messed up my ankle a year or so ago...can't do it much anymore. My buddy Leland Sherk owns half of him. Someday when my ankle fully heals I would like to get a pup out of him and try it again...have a grandson here now that I would love to pass the tradition down to.

Thanks again to everyone who was involved with this thread. Thanks again, as always to Joe Newlin. Never had a better dog....ever.

Nearly 8 years old now...

Best dog I have ever owned. Thank you Joe Newlin, for everything. He has been all I was after when I called you 11 years ago asking about your line of dogs. I have hung up my leash but now still own half of him, a buddy of mine owns the other half, the part that eats and hunts him on a weekly basis. Still gets the job done. He's pretty happy with him too.

I named him Jester. Never entered him in a nite hunt, but probably could have finished him anywhere or anytime I would have liked. Just really loved hunting him alone or with friends, absolutely the most fun dog to ever be around. Truly lives to please his owner. Never had him run a deer and only ever treed one possum. I had no business hunting him that night, but hey all dogs mess up occasionally.

Thanks Again Joe.

You mean there are people on this forum that went to college? Whoda thunk it?

The Old Man drew his last the other night. He died peacefully in his sleep after doing it right the night before. Two trees, two sets looking down. Plus him up.

Best I ever owned.
