I drew Hulk friday night at the zones, he did a nice job at the end of the hunt treeing a coon when all 3 of the other dogs were on a different tree.

well just heard grntch psycho star is out not bad for a 16 month old pup she made a hell of a run and i'm sure you will hear more from her in the future. now i'm rooting for the blue dogs bring one home boys.

I just received a call from hubby. He said the coons were thick and they were some great people and dogs up there. We just wanted to wish everyone good luck and we are praying for ya'lls safety back home. WHETHER YOU WIN OR LOSE UP THERE YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING REALLY GREAT JUST GETTING TO THE WORLD! ......gotchya..........it would be phenominal if all 26 made it through the hunting alone round (second round) without a one getting scratched for off game, just having bad luck and not seeing a coon, etc.!!!

We hunted with Sadie in the 1st round last year and she made the final 4. She was a nice dog. Hard to believe she didn't get through. Just goes to show how difficult it is to get far 2 years in a row.

Losing in the by yourself round is nothing but bad luck. I suppose it is possible that a dog that can't tree a coon by itself could get that far but the odds are astronomical against it. On any night, any dog can hunt in thick coon for 2 hours and not show a coon. Den trees, thick foliage, coons that just won't look, etc. Losing in the Thursday late round is nothing but just bad luck.
