KENTUCKY WAS A POSSIBILTY

THEN THERE WAS A MEETING AND IT WAS DECIDED AGAINST BECAUSE OF THE NOT SO FAVORABLE TERRITORY THAT HAD TO BE HUNTED AND ALL DECIDED TO TAKE IT ELSE WHERE SO A CHAMPION COULD BE CROWNED WITHOUT A REPEAT HUNT........OR DO THEY LET THE HIGHEST MINUS POINTS WIN IF THERE ARE NO PLUS POINTS.

What hunt isn't in Indiana? Besides some of PKC's. Seems like walker days has been there forever.

Some times I have to laugh at these post about thin coon and finding out who has a real coon dog !!!!!!

Anyone ever thought that the dog that does the least amount of work, stays out of trouble and gets some of a coon or a couple of coon could end up your World Champion...........the piggy back dog could be the World Champion ??????? Yeh that is what I want, a dog that does not go hunting, covers another dog on a coon, and just stays out of trouble by doing nothing other than covering another dog..........old ME-TO World Champion

If I'm going to spend time and money, it takes some money to travel to your Zones, hotel, gas, food and then more time, hotels, gas, and food for the World I sure want to go where I'm going to tree more than the one coon in the county !!!!!!!

I don't know about anyone else but I've hunted Indiana, and in my area of Northern Illinois we have lots of coon also, but you better own a coon dog or you will not be treeing any coon. They don't just jump up into the trees and say hey !!!!!! here I am

They are big, fast and we have big trees for them to climb and large corn fields that they will take a dog on a nasty trip over and over through it. So bring your best and it will not fall to the dog that does nothing but rather the dog that can push a hard running coon through the woods tre him and then move on to another block of woods to try again

Give me a cast with 3-5 coons scored over a cast with 1 coon scored any day. If I make a mistake I can still come out of the hole and have a chance to still win.

I lived in the South for 20 years and I loved to come to the midwest for coon hunts. I set my leave on bigger hunts up North and they were a blast. A coon dog is a coon dog, so lets let them do what they were bred to do.......Tree Coons........not coon.

i agree
i would also add that it is my belief that luck plays a much greater role on casts that only one coon is scored on.

Elvis.........I forgot to include LUCK as without it your not going anywhere anyhow LOL

Yes, luck plays a part in all sports but give me a chance to be in coon rather than my dog blwoing out to find the 1 coon in the county any day

I only know about central PA as I lived in or should I say outside of Harrisburg PA when I was younger and what HILLS, or should I say Mountains LOL, not my idea of a fun hunt LOL Maybe the Southern part of the state is flater LOL, but one thing everyone forgets is a club big enough, good enough, and strong enough to hold and put the dogs in the woods.

This is not an easy task, and the more qualified folks you have in your area so UKC does not have to bring in 15-20 outside judges also helps ??????

Qualified guides, not just someone who can put a cast in woods but rather a hunter who knows his/her woods and knows coon hunting and can put the dogs into coons, that is just as important !!!
