Thanks Rob and WB, Chuck was really a happy hound handler. I went along as spectator. I love going along hunting, but at the hunts, I have a terrible time keepin up with the guys. I fell (boobs in the grass) twice at the first drop. Went down 2 more times, but caught myself before I hit the dirt on the other drops. We got in a boot suckin swamp. It was BAD!! Needless to say, I hurt all over yesterday.

WB, If u ever get a premonition about someone on the forum from PA having a winning day at the casino...let me know!
How's Stacey doing?

It was a beautiful morning here so I saddled up Belle and away we went. An hr later, it poured for about 10 minutes so it was a wet cold ride home.

Ruby wants to go out tonight so I need to get ready. Want to watch some if the GREAT DEBATE. While I was riding home today, a guy pulled up beside me to get directions. As he pulled away, I saw a Bernie Sanfers bumper sticker on his car...really wished I would have gave him the long way around directions.

Only saw a few minutes of the debate because Dandy and Ruby treed once, then Dandy kind of lost interest so we put him on the leash and told Ruby to "go find a coon" She found something (hopefully a coon) but she was gone. Chuck went after her and pulled her off because she was getting to close to the rd. We didn't get home until after 10.
Last night, we went down to the farm and when we pulled into park a red fox crossed in front of us. We let Ruby out and she tried to find a coon, but after about 1/2 hr and hearing coyotes yipping, we decided to try somewhere else. She finally did tree 2 coons up 1 tree at a place we usually hunt not too far from here.

Rob i had 367 pics of doe and 2 fawns, 1 spike, 1 small 4 pointer, i changed camera to take 1 every 30 seconds maybe i won;t have to go through as many next time. hoping to get pics of coyote or turkeys-- i may have to get something to draw them in like WB does. hope everyone is well--see ya PS no pics worth posting maybe next time

Well it's interesting here tonight flood warnings hail thunder storms cloud burst's I 81 at mile marker 109 north bound has been closed since about 4 this evening tractor trailers someone said 8 piled up than about 5 there was a pile up south bound at mile marker 112 both sides are blocked and all the traffic is coming threw downtown Christianburg I 81 is a dangerous especially between Wytheville and Roanoke the first responders call it death alley so if you ever travel through here on it be careful

Hoping there weren't any fatalities in the wrecks. My dad drove trucks all most all his life until he retired. He was in a few accidents. ..once a train hit him.

Really happy with Ruby tonight...she passed her first HTX! I like them better than the night hunts.

Thanks for the congrats. Its been a good yr with the dogs. We hadn't taken. Ruby to a competition for over a yr. And then we've only went to 3 things in 2 yrs. This yr, Dandy and Ruby made bench show Ch, Ruby won a night hunt and passed her first HTX. We hope to try a couple more HTXs this yr. The HTXs r better for us because r hearing isn't all that good and we don't have to try to pick out r dog from a group.

Chuck put up a ladder stand for me, but I got nauseous when I got to the top. We knew that was going to be a problem. I can get up as high as a horse's back without getting faint. I didn't get my license yet so just might stick with the Mohawk. Think he had a hidden agenda for wanting me to get into archery hunting...Excalibar has a new bow out this yr, he'd like to have. And of course, I could have his old one 😊
