ApBlue, Glad u got ur dog back, but how did the other guy end up with it?

Lazy day here, we got back from taking Chuck's parents out for lunch and Chuck and all dogs are napping. It's only 4:45 and there's a little 7 pt (probably be the one I see in buck season. IF I even see one). Chuck is after me to get an archery license and use his crossbow or he'll buy me a new one and try to get one of the BIG bucks that are coming in every night. I told him if one of them would get in bow range, I'd probably crap my pants and have a heart attack. 😄 With all the hunters surrounding our property in rifle season, he says its my only chance for a 10 or 12 pt. Still getting lots of pictures of them. U can see the velvet hanging off their antlers now. We had 1000 pictures on the orchard camera in less than a wk. Had a deer and red fox almost nose to nose.

My wife is workin on a page ad for our blue book next year. This is her draft. Im gunna have her to move that moon where u can see it. But other than that i like it. What u think? Were only doin it to help support the blue breed assoc and theyre book. Not really studdin my dog. But wouldnt mind tryin to sell some paracord stuff.

Darn...was hoping to get email back from Mahoning Coon Hunters Club in OH this AM. Does anyone know anything about them? Saw a ad on FB yesterday about big event there this wkend. Canton/Ellsworth is only about 2 hrs away, but couldn't find GPS Address or phone # for it. Looked at UKC Upcoming Events nothing there either 😞
So with no doggy things to do, I filled out my TRUMP survey that came last wk and got it ready to mail. This AM the mail lady brought me my NRA new member package: duffel bag, flashlight, and pocket knife. Knife was made in China....think bag and light were, too. Both wanted $...guess we're all in the same boat.....NOT. They're in yachts and I'm in a beat up leaking canoe.

Rob, he brought all the cameras in. He wants to put 2 out in the big woods, hoping to find something bigger. We talked to some guys last wk at bike night that said people have been seeing a MONSTER about a mile from here. I told him its probably one of the ones coming in here, but its near where he got his 11 pt so he wants to get a camera up out there.

Been a chilly one today not going to complain about it one bit.

Work sucks, I'm being a big meanie by telling staff to quit talking smack about a new elderly employee. She does a wonderful job but is a bit odd. I'd rather have an odd hard worker than a negative gossipy complainer. I'd also rather they talk about me, let her figure out her job & settle down.

Called in sick to work been dealing with a AS flare up in my hands & feet, one of the complainers can do my Sunday doughnuts. So going to enjoy my first full weekend off in 8 months, might even leave the farm & socialize tonight.

The UKC had the wrong date listed for the Madison County Cha meet, saw it on FB that it's next weekend.

Crowd was down at clifton forge today but everyone had a good time, WB was on hand glad he could come down, Mended was a no show but i keep hoping the boss will let him out 8 oct. for our next one. well back to football va tech & tenn---- see ya

Had a wonderful distraction tonight, the club did hold the show & hunt. We showed up early to do some practice water races, which Rose loved. She loaded herself in the gate & ran 4 races back to back, even with her bad leg & advanced age she was 2nd or 3rd everytime. The pups wanted nothing to do with it. Lucy won the pup class & best of bred, Grace won the Senior class but lost to Lucy. They were the only 2 blue ticks entered.

Almost stayed for the hunt but I was spent just like old Rose.

Congrats on the wins, Hayseed. I tried checking out the Mahoning club on FB. The little I did find was one post from a vendor that said they were there this wkend. No one from the club ever got back to me.

It was a Beautiful day in PA. I went riding for 3 hrs with friends. Rember that I rode with a different friend 9-11-01 and was so upset about the planes being taken over and worried my 17 yo son that insisted we sign the papers so he could join the National Guard would be going to war. He did go to Iraq in 2004 for a yr, he turned 21 at Camp Ashraf.

The temp was in the 50s tonight so I talked Chuck into taking Ruby out. Only had one tree, but too many leaves to see anything.

Rob that was about the biggest waste of my weekend a person could've had. I didn't know either of them(my wife is friends with the bride) neither family liked the other, the grooms family can't stand the bride. They fought the whole time, too high classed to have any fun, they were playing jazz music during the reception! Who does that??!! I left early, went back to the camper and watched some primos huntin videos lol

Update on Stacey the swelling in her tongue has gone down and they removed the trek and have moved her to rehab she is talking up a storm making up for lost time lol in 3 or 4 months they will go back and do the second repair her Doctor told her she a walking miracle its funny they want let her walk with out her leash and harness but Thank the Lord she is doing so much better she forgets things and gets confused but its getting better like she t her son and girl friend were having a baby she keeps telling my wife she will have to take care of it and to make sure they have everything but its her pet rabbit who is going to have babies lol Brian has been staying with her at night and sleeping in a chair than getting up early and leaving to make sure the boys were off to school and to work well there is a 86 year old woman in the room beside them and she thought he was having an affair with her but she is straight on that now lol
