Oh yeah there is a new game warden in Giles I gave him a list of outlaws and the descriptions of there trucks and that it would be a Price Linkous or Laster since he will be patrolling Poverty and Craig's creek

ApBlue and WB, Did u meet up at AO? Always nice to put a face with a name and to meet people that you've messaged on FB or forums. I do that a lot with horse people. How did ur dogs do out there?

Nasty hot and humid here today. Tomorrow looking the same, but with more rain. Going to the casino with friends. The casino I usually go to on Tuesdays took most my free stuff away so decided to cut back there. Today, we stopped at a Tastee Freeze we're regulars at...usually on the way home from grocery shopping. They are cutting back days to only wkends. Told Chuck we will have to change grocery day; he thought maybe we should cut out ice cream!!!! Told him I wasn't cutting back on casino and ice cream at the same time

UGH...nothing is ever easy!!! Chuck was out hosing off the deck. Has hose running from basement up steps and out the front door. Hose somehow got a hole in it, lots of water on the floor! Gotta gallop.

No we didnt. Or atleast i dont think so. Iv met some people that told me theyve seen my post on here and like em but dont ever reply lol. My dog didnt do so well. The one track he got on and opened got messed up by a stranger. He was out and we went to a dogs tree. There was a strange dog on the tree wit his that didnt belong to the cast. As were shinnin in walks a man with my dog on his leash. Great cast of guys tho.

A navigational oddity
The passenger steamer SS Warrimoo was quietly knifing its way through the waters of the mid-Pacific on its way from Vancouver to Australia.

The navigator had just finished working out a star fix & brought the master, Captain John Phillips, the result. The Warrimoo’s position was LAT 0ş 31' N and LON 179ş 30' W. The date was 30 December 1899.
“Know what this means?”

First Mate Payton broke in, “We’re only a few miles from the intersection of the Equator and the International Date Line”.

Captain Phillips was prankish enough to take full advantage of the opportunity for achieving the navigational freak of a lifetime. He called his navigators to the bridge to check & double check the ships position. He changed course slightly so as to bear directly on his mark. Then he adjusted the engine speed. The calm weather & clear night worked in his favor.

At midnight the SS Warrimoo lay on the Equator at exactly the point where it crossed the International Date Line!

The consequences of this bizarre position were many. The forward part (bow) of the ship was in the Southern Hemisphere & the middle of summer. The rear (stern) was in the Northern Hemisphere & in the middle of winter. The date in the aft part of the ship was 31 December, 1899. Forward, it was 1 January 1900.
This ship was therefore not only in two different days, two different months, two different years, & two different seasons, but in two different centuries – all at the same time!

Rob, my friend, Barb and I lost again 😥 but Barb's dil won around $500!! She bought us lunch on the way home.
The Tastee Freezes here will close her for winter, too. There's a restaurant a few miles from here that has soft ice cream yr around. But this place that's cutting back until it closes for winter has the BIGGEST cones at lower prices. I got a large cone once because it hurt my hand to hold it!
How'd ur surgery go?

Do they have water races at AO? I want to put Ruby in a couple more, but they're over around here until next yr. She ran around the pond the first time. Stayed in and swam the second time, but lost to 2 males dogs that I think were younger. Chuck thinks she might be too old almost 4 to compete against younger male dogs. I think biggest problem is she's a little on the heavy side....she weighs 70 lbs. Need to work on that more, too.

Game Wardens

You guys just keep them Wardens busy down there so they leave me alone up here. We got a little cool weather last week and made a few drops then this week it has gotten hot again and dry. Next week looks nice and cool. Might be able to make a couple more drops along the river. We need rain bad.
