Decent night hunting in rainy weather in southeast ky

Made 2 drops tonight w/ my old buddy and his old walker male plus my 2 yr old male "Luke". He is a Dual Ch off of Smokey X Katie. First drop got away from my buddies dog and was struck and treed quick "redhot" on a good sized leaning oak. 2nd drop both got struck and the track split up and luke treed and held pressure with the other dog trailing still in another direction. I really enjoy hunting/owning this hound. He is by far no finished dog nor a world beater lol but is making a decent little hound. I plan on doing some driving this year to the "flat" country that has plenty of coon do some meat hunting with him. Not to many coons here anymore it seems in eastern ky.

I just want to say thank you guys for letting Russell and myself purchase smoke. He is now reunited with a few siblings and we will do our best to have him ready for upcoming hunts. You guys are first class and we can't thank you enough.

Big Ridge Smoke

Hunted smoke in first hunt lastnite. It was a pkc hunt I hunted as a guest against 2 Grand nites and a night champion. Ole boy came in second and treed first with the coon. Hopefully I can get him tuned up and ready for upcoming ukc hunts.

Smokey and Puff of smoke

First night smokey been out in a few months and I wanna thank Dan rosier for really getting puff cranking, they got in about 550 yds last nite and got treed quick, took several minutes to spot it but I finally spotted it and knocked it out, Good nite with 2 old men, those being my dad and smokey!! Haha

Yeah you had draggers, i dont know about good ones but you had draggers. Its bad enuf to have to follow a hound in this **** place much less have to drag something like that straight up the side of the mtn. Next time wait til he starts off the truck side of the mtn before you pull the trigger ok. I was kinda proud of you tho.

i have hunted with a number of smokey's offspring. the first thing you notice is they are well mannered good looking pups. smart n fairly easy to train. the ones i have seen in the woods have drive and desire open on track with the correct amount of mouth and get treed under a coon. all the smokey offspring i have hunted with have great volume in there voice. i certainly wouldn't be afraid to bred a female to him or get another pup off of smokey. matter a fact i have another pup i been starting on drags right now!

I have a male off of smokey x kate he is 3 I got him and was told he had never been hunted a lot man I love this dog he is all coondog !he get treed and a lot buy his self and very accurate he has been in 3 night hunts my bad calls in 2 of them but Friday night Buck treed a coon and had the meet and a very nice English male was treed 20 yards apart both dogs stayed treed but Buck had the coon other male dog missed that was all we treed coons were just not moving in won 2nd place . Smokey pups are making very nice hounds I would like to find a female in the same line. I can hunt him with anything and he is not the best but he don't miss it by much ,I keep feeding him.. if you are looking for a nice male to get a pup off of look at smokey .
