thundering here..the old boar came down and tried to run me out one night ,Eddy Miller lived there where I think Newby lives now..just down the road from the funky monkey and on the opposite side of the road, treed out there by that pond,I heard him yelling over his old truck when he turned the corner and headed west ,south of his house....LOL

Ealy brought me a couple of feed sacks of sweet corn..cut it off which I aint doing no more.......going to start freezing all my corn ,whole and in the shucks..we did some last year in the shuck in vacuum sealed bags..I forgot about them,,was making room in the freezer for this years crop and found them.cooked them up 2 nights ago ,you couldn't tell them from fresh picked..heres what came up to the cob pile tonight..........trying some moral mushrooms this year too in the vacuum bags..going to take them out thanksgiving day and fry them..we will see how well they keep...just about everything I tried in the vacuum bags has been good....fish keep for years in them....

Hope that coon don't get too full and not make it home if he has to cross the highway. Does the vacuum use regular freezer bags? Do you use a special machine to freeze with? Been thinkin' 'bout a dehydrator for jerky makin'. This year we're planin' on makin' a bunch of summer sausage. That boar and Raymond Stewart were something in their younger days. Use to go down to the Wetstone slab and run off all the partyers. Raymond told me boar got his jolly's by doin' that.
Robert Plant is on at 9:00 on channel 51 tonite. Goin' to BOOGIE DOWN with Led Zepplin Later
Plant's looking old these days..yea it takes special bags and the machine ours was $108.00.. but I figure I will save more than that by not throwing away all that freezer burnt food...I done jerky for years in the dehydrator.get a meat slicer if you do much jerky..cutting it thin and in uniform piece sure makes it dehydrate better...got maws recipe........I take all mine to St,Marie to have made into smokey links and summer sausage..we eat more of the links than anything...box of a 100 gets eat up pretty fast..anymore when see a deer in the car Skinny will say look :smokey links on the hoof: heres what my deer look like when i get them back...,,,,,if we get to hot this week just think back to this last winter....

Links look good. We also took pictures like that it was pretty but was glad to see it melt. If it would stay in the trees and off the ground would be good.
Top of the mornin' everybody---hope everything finds all well. I'm off to the schoolhouse (not at Neoga Ron) to help with the pond cleanup this mornin'. How's the patient this mornin' Spotty? Everybody make it back from Ky. safe and sound?
Morning everyone. Did I ever hit one hell of a storm coming back yesterday. Semi trucks were pulling over. Never seen rain like that. Plus the wind. Anyway bought a new light and bought some new antennas that go on my DC collar and one that goes on my Astro. Seen lot of the old friends of mine yes I seen Ron,Hargis. Tried to get Ron to buy lunch but he said that he had a short term memory and didn't remember saying he would buy lunch. I had the Pork Chop dinner and the chop must have been 1 inch thick with homemade bake beans and french fries. It was good. It was hot down there. Hope you are having a nice Sunday I am going to get ready and sight my 10-22 in for in the morning.

Here is a video clip of some good club members helping the club get it's pond ready for some swim races.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7iyeLwYAbk
The video says it all, some guys want to help the club any way they can. My name is on the credits but I didn't do any physical labor, I am not able to do much these days. Also, I had to get Frances Gail taken care of at the house so I could leave for a short while. We are hoping she can attend the club hunt in November.
The starting gate box will still need to be built, the cable restrung, some fencing to be erected, and possibly, some more brush cut, so maybe some of you other members can help out next time. I am going to donate some chain link fencing.

Rex sighted my rifle in took 8 shots hitting dead center at 25 yards. I put a quarter on a piece of paper and draw a circle. Once you put all shots inside the circle you are ready to go.

Hooties password is a secret. Rex I have a 3x9 Sportview Bushnell. They are very good scope for coon hunting and squirrel hunting. Never has fogged up during a rain or in the winter.
