That'd be 10 count em 10 shots of Fireball in this cross! 4 shots of Twister pretty close and 4 shots of Rocky right behind that. Add that together with all the present and former; Current and Historical reproducers on almost every line and LOOK OUT!

A 34.5 % relation to the Old ACHA/AKC Reserve World Champion GrNtCh Fireball hound.

They would also be 43.75% Old Twister.

I won't be able to get up there until Sat. night.

I don't know when you were planning on going but I can't get off until Fri. evening and then I'm heading up there. I plan to stay at my in-laws in Rogers. Trying to talk my wife into coming with me over there, we'll see. If ya need a place to stay it's only an hour or a little better away and I could check with them. They live out in the country.

Got a new

high powered coooon dawg coming. Very heavy on the Fireball. Supposed to be a very good dog. Will let you know the details when it gets here. Doing some horse trading and its from a friend. I will be at all the big hunts and qualifying hunts and if its anywhere as good as its supposed to be. We will be campaigning 2 maybe 3 dogs next year. We will be hunting them as hard as we do on bear and have high expectations for these dogs as long as we dont choke on the handling part we should do ok. The little Angel dog is looking real good and Ciscoe IV is kicking some coon tail. Now at 8 months old he is gone as soon as the box opens. Will stay out 45 minutes to a hour before checking back. Going to try and have the young guy make Angel into a nite ch. next spring and I'll be hunting the new dog. With luck Ciscoe will be in the hunts also. Take care and how did you do at the last hunt?

Interested to see what ya got up there Dave. Still haven't found Dozers papers. I may have to file for duplicates but I'll get them to ya. I didn't go to the last hunt. My wife had me helping her and I got all messed up in my neck. If it weren't for her owner I think ol' Kitty would already be GrNtCh. O Well.

I know what it takes but she has none so far.

The first two hunts I had her as a NtCh she was a week and the other a few days from coming in heat. The second and third were at the Zones you know how that went comepletely my fault the first night and she ran into or grabbed a skunk the second night so couldn't smell the rest of the night. She still would have won her cast if she just hadn't came back in rolling from all the burning in her eyes. Then a few weekends ago dead cast.

Last time I had one of her caliber she was in 5 or 6 hunts and had 4 First Place NtCh wins already. I have been getting used to the hunts again and me and Kitty are still figuring each other out but we mainly just haven't had things fall our way yet. The kind of hound she is I likely would be very close to GrNtCh if I had just had her in some hunts before now given my past experience in this stuff. She is better than my old hound in competition she just hasn't had the experienced handler that my others had since I had done this for several years before my trip to Iraq and college.

Of course these muscle relaxers and pain pills don't help your clarity of thought at the hunts either, never mind not really being able to look up the trees very well.

you are gonna have to fix that neck. I know how it feels to hurt so bad you cant hunt. I refuse to take the strong painkillers also. After a couple days on those things it kind of wrecks everything. I use excederin migraine and that is the best thing I found so far. There is something you should try and its not a drug and I swear it works. Check into Reiki or Shamanism healing. Its a energy healing. Also try a juice called Noni juice. People have used this type of healing for years. Just check into it. Also there is a antiflamatory I use twice a day that seems to help alot and its called sulindac. you can check these out on the internet. Hope this helps. Tribes have been using these for years and I always had respect for the indians and their beliefs and figured they didnt use these practices for the heck of it. I think it might help you. You might think I'm nuts but thats ok cuz alot of people do. lol Take care

Well here's the deal. The DR.'s say that with me being as young as I am that even if I'm able to hold off having surgery for 5 years or so each time, I need a new surgery, that by the time I am retirement age at least half my whole spinal cord will be fused together. So each time I have another section fused together then I need to wait as long as I possibly can. Of course as this goes along it means each surgery I am able to move my back less and less and will finally end up where coon hunting is impossible for me to do becuase I won't be able to bend over to get thru the woods or look up trees at all. It won't be long at all until I can't look up trees but I have heard that you can get UKC to issue you a letter that allows you to have a spectator who goes with you to the hunts to shine trees for ya.

crappy news. With all the things they can fix you would think they could fix that. I know fusing is a tough thing to have done. Check into the things I mentioned. The antiflamatories I mentioned are life savers for me. It wont hurt to check it out. I'm waiting till I cant stand it no more till I get my neck cut on. But it does suck when your arm falls asleep or you cant look up without a pain going down your back. I've had too many parts replaced and will wait as long as I can till I have anymore surgeries. Those are some good bred pups Joe has and I'm at a crossroad with my brother otherwise I would snap one or 2 up in a second. Next summer and the country cant come soon enough. I'll have no more worries.(about dogs anyway) Only a few more days till kill season and us and the dogs are fired up. We sure are having fun with the pups and Angel. Dozer is getting the long needed rest. But I think after a few days he will be wanting and needing to be hunted. Cat season is just a little ways away and so is the snow. He should be good on cat. Keep me informed on how the Dozer pups are doing.

Heres a pic of a bear shot last Sunday by Mike. Notice Kid wont take his eyes off it. He hates bears so much he will never turn his back to them even when they are dead. lol Hes been rolled over by them 1 too many times and doesnt trust those big things. Once they are dead Dozer does a little chewing on them and then pays them no attention.

Looks good man. Yeah most of mine when they are fighting are all in. They absolutely love to fight game. However, once it's dead they normally could care less. They're like it's dead what do ya wnt me to do with it.

I can normally fool pups a little bit but after that they're done. That's funny on Kid he's definately showing that grit. The good thing about these guys are that love to fight game but they aren't agressive toward each other. So much of the time when you get grit they show it all the time these have the sense to know when it's needed. I still can't find Dozer's papers. So I guess I'll write into UKC get them to send me a duplicate set and send them to ya. I'm sure for me it will take a few weeks since I can't get my processed over night and back too me in two days since I'm not on the special list. I'll go ahead and sent you the easy entry card, however. Also Dean I will send your papers on the pup to ya. I was planning on a trip up toward ya before now, so we could visit again, but looks like that's going to be held back for now.

Doubled the size of my pond.

I rented a trac-hoe and dug out around my pond thickened the banks on the sides and got a ton of dirt out for filling in holes and sealing the banks. One side, the water was so near the top that back in the Winter/early Spring when we got some rain it was literally inches from coming over the top definately not going to be that way now. I spent from dawn till after dusk all weekend including Fri. evening but excluding Sun. during church digging. So needless to say I didn't get in any coonhunting. I plan to try hunting some this week to get Kitty out and hopefully, the rain they have gotten up around the Okl. State Hunt will help us out. Time will tell.

and I have sick dog here. Chief went downhill in 3 days down to nothing. Got a vet app. today. Hope it isnt serious. And I hope it isnt expensive. Im thinking lyme disease or tick fever. Hope it isnt Blasto. I had him on antibiotics since he started acting bad but its not helping. Coon season is saturday and he will be madder than hell if he cant go. He goes everytime and sits and howls if he cant. I cant take just one pup cuz the other goes crazy.lol Drives my wife crazy. Hes lost alot of weight and just lays around. Just hope they find out what is wrong. I really like Chief and he is turning out to be a pretty fair dog. Great tree dog for being 10 months old plus hes my buddy and him and Ciscoe go where I go. You know how it is cuz I saw how you get attached to them. Its a little different if they are in a kennel all the time but these guys arent. Ive had too many dogs misdiagnosed in the last couple years and lost too many. Good luck at the hunt and say hi to your wife. Jim and Jake say hello also.
