Had not got a chance to post these pics until now. This is 2 days after Tri County. Mr Bond done went and created more work for me after he let my son Caleb show his dog. I was required to immediatly build him a bench and he has been out just about every night practicing. I will get some updated pics later this week of his progress.

NICE PICS. MY THREE ALL PUT DOGS ON BENCH AND LOVED IT. MYSELF AND MY BROTHER DID THE SAME THING TO MY DAD THAT YOUR SON HAS DONE. WE PUT DOGS ON BENCH FOR YEARS AND STILL DO.

ENJOY YOUR TIME WITH THEM, IT GOES BY FAST. MY TWO OLDEST ARE ABOUT OUT OF MY HOUSE. SOMETIMES I WISH I COULD GO BACK TO WHEN THEY WERE YOUNGER.

Opossum

Season:

October 15 through March 10: statewide

Skunk

Season:

Continuous open season to hunt striped skunk except on National Forest lands and Department lands.

Striped skunk hunting on National Forest lands and Department lands is permitted from September 1 through March 10 and during the spring turkey season. Striped skunks may also be hunted on Department lands during the spring squirrel season unless otherwise posted (see area listings for spring squirrel season).

Rob, Chuck just told me the deer came in and ate off some of our cucumber vines a couple of nights ago I thought the garden might be safe since the peaches and apples are falling, but the guy that farms the fields that border r property combined his oats so the apples and peaches probably aren't enough now.

Got a call from Chuck's sister today to tell us their Uncle Norman passed away yesterday. 3 deaths in 4 months, getting tired of these kind of family reunions.

AS FOR SKUNK AND POSSUM SEASONS, I THINK THEY ARE OPEN ALL YEAR IN MD. NOT SURE ABOUT PORKYS. I KNOW MOST COON HUNTERS HERE ALWAYS COMMENT THAT A WAL CUR MUST HAVE BEEN AROUND WHEN THEY SMELL A SKUNK. LOL.

MY YOUNGEST HAS BEEN IN KENTUCKY WITH MY PARENTS. THEY TOOK HER TO NASHVILLE YESTERDAY AND WENT TO THE GRAND OLE OPRY. WE LISTENED TO IT LIVE ON INTERNET. THE ANNOUNCER SAID MY DAUGHTERS NAME AND THAT SHE WAS FROM FROSTBURG MD AND SHE WAS IN AUDIENCE. BET SHE LOVED THAT.

Thanks for the condolences. Chuck uncle's bday and funeral is tomorrow...he would have been 86.

Busy day here...Chuck had to be at the courthouse at 8:30 for jury duty pick. He got picked for one, but then got dismissed. He raised his hand when they asked if he would take a corrections officer's word over an inmates. He said he would so he had to go down to discuss it with the judge, DA and the inmates atty. He said he was a deputy game warden for 11 yrs and never arrested an innocent person and that r son is a CO and ended up moving off a cellblock he liked because an inmate said he spit on him....Chuck said he'd take our son's word over any inmates.

I went to the dr for back pain, I have a uti and probably a pulled muscle in my back. Glad we have decent insurance because I came home with 3 prescriptions and have to get blood work done next wk.

We both got home after 2 and had to be at inlaws to take them out for supper and to the funeral home.

Rob, Was it your daughter's bday that they announced her name?

Bear season now!? It doesn't come in here until November. We can't hunt them with dogs.

How r Sam and the pups doing, WB?

LOL...TOO BAD, BAD BOYS. Get them honestly or pay! The only reason Chuck became a deputy is because I called the game warden on people poaching deer in the summer. He came out to talk to me and I got a little upset telling him it goes on every night, they needed to patrol our area. Then he asked if I'd be a deputy. Of course I said yes. But because this was 40 yrs ago and I was such a darn cute sweet little thing, Chuck volunteersed because he didn't want me going out chasing men at night. He always tries spoiling my fun. I would have had handcuffs! He'd probably tell me to go for it now, but I got tired of our mailbox getting smashed and finding nails and dead deer at the end of our lane.

Rex my husband got called in for jury duty a few years ago, he didn't even get to answer any questions. The attorney called his name out & said tell the Missus hello from me then dismissed him. I worked for the Sheriff's Office as a Jailer after the Marine Corps & then the State as a Corrections Officer. Thought about the DNR but the old man wasn't keen on that idea.

I'm sorry to hear about everyone's family passing away.

The ladies have been fighting something pretty tough, all 3 have scrapes, bites & 2 are limping pretty good. Just have one more shift & then 2 days off, so I'll go find what they are messing with. Makes me wish I'd buy a Garmin for them, make life a lot easier.
