Stacey is holding her own still on a ventilator they want do the second surgery till she able to get off of it

I am ready for the first frost had enough of this heat

Not sure about this one never heard of it before but than I don't like sweet potatoes either although they say there good with possum

Sweet potato butter sounds good to me. Never had it, but I like sweet potatoes and 🍎butter My friend made 🍅butter, I didn't think I'd like it, but it was good.

Hope Stacey is off the ventilator soon. Praying she gets to go home to be with her little boys soon.

Glad to read your surgery went well, Rob. How long will u have to wait for the other 2?

Went to Chuck's 45th class reunion last night. It was at a winery....I came home with a bottle of HANKY PANKY. Since 18 out of just over 100 of his classmates are deceased, they're planning on getting together every yr now. Its the first one of his class reunions (I've drug him to all of mine, but one) he's ever went to. Could hardly get him to leave

Afternoon beautiful day here 71° light clouds & nice breeze.

Glad to read everyone is recovering.

I've just been nose to the wheel & adjusting to this new shift, she'll be back on the first. The ladies have been keeping me busy too. Rose has added a new level to our routine, she's feeling better & losing the kennel weight.

The dogs were gone all day yesterday, didn't come rolling home until 11pm. Grace looked muddy but when your alarm goes off at 1am you don't pay to much attention. Came home from work to this & the poor princess was miserable so she got a good bath.

Must have been a good hunt, it got her good in a few spots. They also couldn't wait to slip back in the corn to go back to the scene.

Hay Heather, hope u get back up to your low energy level soon. This weather drains the sap out of us, too. Chuck hauled water to the garden for awhile, but its on its own now. Forecast is calling for rain starting Wednesday for a couple of days. Only 30% chance, but we need it.

Hayseed, I thought we lived in the middle of nowhere, but think u must have us beat. No way could we let r dogs run loose. There's a secondary state rd at the end of r lane that most people drive on it like its sn airport runway. If a car wouldn't get them, someone would pick them up or shoot them.

Rode Jas for 2 hrs today, it was almost too hot. She was glad to get back to the barn.

I am tucked away in the middle of no where, 3 dead end roads around the place & not much traffic makes it out here. What traffic there is the dogs get out of the way into the ditch or just wait to cross. The dogs don't mess with stock or pets, their focus is coons.

Not many places like this around.

There is a ton of developments going on around here too. I'm only 30 minutes from West Des Moines (Yuppieville), the lady who owns this place also has 2 other large properties much closer to the city. She refuses to sell for development, this place is the original homestead & her heirs see no reason to sell either. We pay $600 a month rent & help the farmer out, also help out the neighbors when needed. It's hard to complain about the hounds when their Momma pens up 7 young bulls who slipped a fence & are ditch grazing.

However when deer shotgun season comes the ladies will need to stay home, there are some monster bucks who come hide here. The owner refuses to allow hunters come on the place, I've had some crazy situations with people.

WB, the pups are cute. Guess they look more like their dad. Some have white spots on their heads and then the one has a black spot on its head, if it is a female that would be my pick for now. How many boys and girls r there?

Rob, Chuck never wanted to go to his reunions either, but I nagged him into it. He was glad he went because most the group of guys he ran around with showed up, too.
Glad ur leg is doing well.

R garden still isn't doing much, but a former co-worker of Chuck's is, so he's giving us zucchini, cucumbers, and cantaloupes and he's getting some of r apples and peaches. I picked up a small bucket of peaches that had fallen off the tree that were rotted or split. I forgot to dump the bucket so when I saw it this AM, I went over to get it and it was almost empty with all the seeds around it. The deer came in and ate them right out of the bucket I told Chuck he should put a camera out here.
