It doesn't matter much to me what color hide a dog has, I just want dead coons.

And the pup in the picture just brought home a gopher...shake my head.

I HUNTED WITH HIM ONCE HECK OF A NICE GUY HAMMER TEN WAS NOT TO BAD OF A DOG. WE HAD A PUP OUTA HIM THAT WAS NOT MUCH.

I HUNTED WITH THE LEGEND WARREN HAUSOLER IN 1986 AT BLUETICK DAYS IN SEDALIA MO. NOW THERE WAS A REAL GENTLEMAN.

ALSO HUNTED WITH GARY AND LONNIE UCTCHMAN THEY WERE BOTH GOOD GUYS. I JUDGED THEM AT BBOA DAYS THEY HUNTED AGAINST ONE ANOTHER. GARYS NATURAL BLUE ROSE AND LONNIES JESSIE. HECK OF A HUNT ALL FOUR DOGS WERE IN HUNT TILL THE END. MET THERE DAD NICE MAN.

I DOUBT ANY OF THEM SAID MUCH BAD ABOUT ANOTHER MANS DAWG EVEN IF IT WAS RED.

YOU HUNT WAL CURS BUT BRAG ON RED DAWGS, WHAT GIVES.?

Yes I hunted had amid to hunt Storm my young dog but she came in heat so I took her Mom Willow instead won my cast Thursday night but not enough to place got beat by a Walker on Friday night and somehow Willow tore a rear toe nail off she was limping but hunted her Saturday night the red dog that won our cast had a score of 1175+ it was a lot of fun I have never hunted with Dave Dean or Ed Meade both we're there at different times Ed guided cast all weekend but you have to give both of them a lot of credit they have worked hard on the lines and had a lot of success it's not easy to do and win over multiple generations the way they have done its a lot of work they have used the only measuring stick we have competition hunts and have been very successful my hat's off to both of them

Oh but being from that area I got to hear a lot of stories on them especially Dave he is quite a guy some years back I was at Autumn Oaks he was there he sat around a campfire fire and played and sang it was very good

Heyseelady training young dogs is sometimes quite interesting and very frustrating

Hay all, Hope everyone had a nice wkend. Ours was busy! Went to 3 cookouts, saw Bill Engvall @ the casino, worked in the garden a little, got a short ride in on Belle and spent some time around a campfire with friends. One of the guys just got a new 38" RV. It has 5 TV's!! We have 2 TV's in our house and only one works

Had a picture of a bear and 5 turkeys on the trail camera this wk. Our Lodi apples are starting to fall so the deer are coming into the orchard. Saw a nice buck running out of it tonight but was too dark to tell if it was the big one we have pictures of on the camera.

Rob, ur daughter's Bambi dog looks alot (color) like r son's dog that we keep. She's the same brown with white on her chest and toes. She's a terrier lab x.

Hayseedlady, Did u get Rosie? She looks like s beautiful dog.

WB, did u meet Wade Kuhns in MI? I saw someone started a thread congratulating him. He hunted Bus, Dandy's, dad.

The pup has a lot of Dean blood in her, as a newbie it is interesting to read about the men who worked so hard to bred d@mn good dogs. I'm letting her be a farm puppy, all the dogs run free, if they catch a scent in the wind they go investigate. Last week I got cussed at by the farmer, they were out checking corn several rows deep & she kept racing past them the next row over. He wasn't mad but his Dad about had a heartattck.

She did bring a coon kit home tonight.

On the other end of the spectrum of age I have these two, picked up the blue one today. She is a quick learner & figured out the old man gives out treats. She has a badly swollen rear leg so I started her on prednisone to see if that reduces the inflammation & stiffness.

R son's dog won't leave here either. We have her because she ran into a tree and did something to her back. She was paralyzed in her back legs for wks. We spent 100's of $$s getting her better. Thought she'd make a full recovery, but her left leg and tail still aren't right and she doesn't seem to know when she has a bm. When she's in the house, we keep her in a crate. At night, she goes to the barn. We bought her a heated pad for winter, but if its too cold, we leave her in her crate and hope we don't have a mess in the AM. Corey tried taking her for a wk, but he works and couldn't keep her.

Finally, won some $ at the casino....only $20 ahead, but better than nothing. My friend came home over $300 ahead!!

Got more pictures of the buck. He's coming into the food plot almost every night. He's a 10 pt. Chuck thinks he has about a 20" spread. Hoping his pts grow because right now his brow tines r longer then the pts. Its kind of neat watching his antlers grow. He's a huge big fat deer!

With 2 rabie cases here recently, I'm a little worried we may come across a rabid animal camping or riding horses. A rabid coon was shot and it had porcupine quills in it...wonder what the chances are of the porcupine getting rabies now.
