Old shine through a lot of nose power in her pups. The good ones always die to young. I am glad I got some pups out of her that are making nice hounds. Logan is a reproducer

Thanks for the comments on Logan. Good luck with your hounds. Hopefully you can keep some Logan blood in there going forward. Too bad Shine did not live to produce some more nice ones. That was a good cross with Logan that she was out of.

Logan-2016 Performance

I had one guy call about breeding to Logan this year so it is likely we are going to performance him for 2016. He is still doing good and will be 12 in 2016. Last litter sired was about 5 months ago so he is still getting pups as of the last breeding. He has some real nice sons and daughters out there with limited breeding. He has been on the reproducers list for a couple of years now. I was asked what he crossed best with as far as bloodlines. He has mostly been bred to Uchtman/Rambo and Smokey River type females. I always wanted to see him bred to a nice Jet/Boomer bred female and that may be the cross that gets done this year.

Scott sure wished I could of made it to hunt with you and Darren last week but sometimes work just gets in the way of things. Todd kingery sold my daughter a dang nice hound.Boss will grand out in no time flat. He is the real deal and logan produced a very nice hound. He is as honest of a hound as ive seen in a while.Honest strike dog moves a track really well and a stay put steady tree dog,if the coons aren't moving he will throw his nose in the air and park under a lay up with a coon.very well balanced hound with looks to spare. GUYS DONT OVER LOOK LOGAN !! mike

I fully understand. Some time work has to be the priority. We had a nice hunt. I would have enjoyed it even if we had not treed any coon but we did. Maybe next time.

Logan is doing well with the cold weather we have been having. We may be breeding a nice Jobe female when she comes in heat. This would be the first cross on a Jobe female and could be a pretty good cross.

Devo is a beautiful hound. His mother Jessie was out of Bogie and by Bogies pictures I think he may resemble him. Bogie was out of one of the best crosses ever in the Bluetick breed in my opinion. Rambo II and White River Sugar.

He is making it through the Winter so far. I have put some extra padding in his dog house as he spends so much time in there now. Hope to get at least another female bred to him soon. There are a couple real nice ones out there and it would be nice to see another litter or two out of him. I never drew any semen on him and probably should have but there are many nice studs out there other than what I have here. I believe in breeding forward. Trying to have a string of reproducers in a pedigree and not just one or two top and bottom.

Logan

I still get a few inquiries on breeding to Logan but nothing bred right now. He seems to be getting through the Winter ok and maintaining his health. Logan will be 12 in August.

Pups

I have a couple of guys wanting to breed to Logan this year but nothing in heat yet.
There may be a litter of Uncle Pen Semen pups in the hopper. The female was bred last week. We will keep our fingers crossed on that one.
