Mike Sounds like you stayed pretty busy. If you have been all over U.S. bet you've seen a lot of things. I have only been to Kansas City Kansas when I was a kid to see my brother who was in the service, and to Las Vegas twice. First time with a friend and second time I won a trip where I worked and wanted to go to someplace different but they were holding the national finals rodeo in Vegas and Td wanted to go there. When TD was driving over the road wanted to go places but by the time he drove all week he wanted to stay home. I would say let's go to Tennessee or somewhere and he would say oh you wouldn't like it there. Now I have no desire to travel. Turned into a hermit. Spotty don't feel bad about being a bad nurse TD wasn't a very good one either.

I also saw lots of places when I was in the military. I was in Korea for 13 months. We were gone every weekend showing horses some where.

Mike Had an uncle who was a pow in the Korean war. He never ever talked about it but I don't blame him. He was the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. My brother served two tours in Vietnam and he never talks about that either. From the movies I've seen on tv I know it wasn't good. I have a lot of respect for those who serve in the military don't get enought credit for what they do.

Rex you are a good man. Gotta take care of that woman. Bill had to take care of his and he did a good job. I was on a little island named Cheu-Do. It was a radar site to watch China making sure they didn't come across the International Waters. Spent 13 months on that Island.

Rex does that mean she isn't any better this morning? I have heard of Dr. Eubank but don't know much about him. Dr. Mendella is the one I know He is a pretty good guy. He gave the boys his cell number in case they needed anything, you don't see that much anymore. Mike were you the only ones on the island or were there other people? Suppose your already for D-Day? Soon you'll be counting hours instead of days.
Linda

There was 19 US personnel and Rok Marines there to plus the Korea people who lived there. I am still counting the days. Three more days.

By the way Rex where is Skinny? You can put her on the early morning shift and you on the day shift. I guess TD is going out to the club Sunday to help with brush clearing. He said they have a couple of tractors with loaders and several people going to help. I'm trying to keep gardening caught up here have Vacation Bible School next week, we usually have around 40 kids. Very tiring but the kids love it.

Linda a ROK marines is Republic of Korea. That is what we called them for short. Rex send some rain this rain if you have enough. Linda I did speak a little of their language. Most of the time I had a interrupter with me when I went off the compound.

Rex will be waiting to see how that turns out. Don't forget she still has one good hand that can make a fist. Mike I always hate it when I'm in a store somewhere and here somebody from a different country talking always wonder what they are saying. I can't imagine what it would be like to be surrounded by them.

Posted by Mike Milam on 07-29-2011 04:49 PM:

Look for their body language. Course my interpreter would all ways tell me what they was saying.

Rex, If that was painful shower will be a chore. How did she hurt her arm to begin with? Linda

Posted by Mike Milam on 07-29-2011 06:33 PM:

Rex when is she due to start exercising the arm?

linda I think it was just the bone spurs that started it..with the tendons and cartilage scraping back and forth across the spurs it started wearing and cutting them into..then that lead to the weakness and pain in the arm..once the cartilage was detached the tears occurred..I think that's how the doc explained it to me...mike she is supposed be wiggling her fingers and twisting her wrist to keep the range of motion going....next Fri. is her visit with the surgeon...he said the following week she is supposed to start therapy..doc said she should be up moving about, all she can tolerate..but I'am having a time getting her to get up out of my big recliner...

yea I understand a guy don't feel much like getting up..the nurse told me that it was important to get her up and move her around.that she would only get weaker sitting there..well I'm having a hard time convincing her of that.
