Not lookin like it? I am riding along with my buddy to Ohio next week possably to deliver a pack of walker pup's & pick up a couple lil Reddawg's. Might even get to cut loose one of our Bludawg's? The 20th of march has way to much happenin unfortunately.

Them young female's are takin off big time in the past couple week's or so. "Stella" is the star of the class so far. I've watched her do a bunch of windin, not afraid to climb on a tree. Been runnin track's,rabbit, squirrel, coon that I'm aware of. I know I could tree a coon with her alone, not what some may expect. Not gonna drive in there & power slam but stay near her & get to her when she commit's kinda. A lil encouragement & maybe a coon or two she's well on her way. No deer in these part's this time of the year so no practice time in on them.

She is loose under her neck rite now but not real bad. Should go away with some growth. Not to bad lookin, real good loud course bawl mouth. She's a natural as are her sister's their just not quite to her level yet but headed there. For 5 month's old,,I think, runnin loose in the winter in some pretty good snow for the past couple month's they are doin great but just gettin started good of course! I have showed them one live coon & he wasn't in a cage. They treed him with a lil help from my year old pup trainer. Once they seen, scented & tasted they all went crazy.Couple had more glue to'um rite now than the other but the blasted coon got hung up so I couldn't get it back down to them & boredom set in with my lengthy attempt at shootin the limb off that was holdin it. ... I would say.....

One is better lookin, one is doin a lil more, all have good personalities & loud bawl mouth's, Very well cared for & allowed to run free since they arrived at the holler. Their also well grown in the respect that their runnin gear has gottin the best chance to develop possable. All travel good & will be showable. Couple more so than the other but their young & changin rite along.

Two have the lite cream colored trim & one has darker trim. One has a better ear set than the other two. I like one's head better than the other's. One has the potential to be a serious contender in standin purty contest's more so than the other's.

Personal observation's,opinion's & experience with them thus far. Their all gonna make the grade,in the timber, of course, but only time & a gentle hand is gonna reveal their full potential.

Been real pleased with their inherited natural desire. They are doin as good as any other's I've had on the loose this time of year. I try to capitalize off'n any opportunity that present's it's self.

Tim,Why did ya kick the old dog ? J/K of course...LOL!!

That's a good sign "Lilly" is showin ya already.. Hope she make's a good hound & her littermate's as well. Time will answer that for us won't it?

"Dude", my lil male is a student. He look's thing's over & takes it all in. They are inside at night for now & he has only barked twice since saturday night when we got them. Holy moly has he got a mouth on him! His sister who hasn't earned her name yet has less patience than him. She's kind of a wild child & get's a lil lippy from time to time...LOL!!

I went down stair's last nite & said,"Sup Dude"? Come here "Dude",get outa there "Dude" & then,"Dude",wanna go upstair's for a visit, huh lil "Dude"? Fit's him good,he's such a layed back intelligent actin & lookin lil feller. First time chillin with me he kicked back & fell asleep while watchin Tiffany Lakowski pursue corn fed Iowa hog's with the muzzleloader.

We have hit it off!

Don't even yelp when ya pick him up by the skin on the top of his neck, like "Old Yeller" didn't...........................Say's sumthin 'bout his toughness ?...........

Boone, for some reason them temperature swing's are welcome as long as their in the plus zone & not the minus ain't they?...LOL!! Pup's are livin a pretty tough life.

I can say "Dude", snap my finger's & he comes a runnin with his ear's just a floppin. Set's & studies me as I do him. They are some dandy actin pup's,both,I'm just drawn in by the "Lil Dude" & his personality with them eager to learn lookin eye's !

Mr Eversole,we'll see how stuff come's together. My wife is having a second round of shoulder surgery this next week so I need'ta stay close by. Might work out yet?

Jerrod,LOL, we are playing PM tag ain't we? I made some room myself & resent your's.

Tim, Your welcome to come a huntin when it will work without question. We've hunted with a lot of different fellow houndsmen this year already & we're havin fun doin it. We'll fire'um in the country & they'll do what their gonna do.

Got a fellow Blueticker on his way here from Michigan rite now to breed a heavy heavy "Boomer" bred gyp to "Patch". He's carryin a leg & awful sore footed but he'll man up for the ladies I think ?

Posted by on 02-18-2010 03:38 PM:

I almost forgot, "Sas" had her pup's yesterday. There is a pile 'of'um in there & their lil pup's. I was wonderin if she had a chance of makin it till saturday & I guess that answer's that question.

Not sure how many or none of that yet? She was gettin a lil contankerous with me so I let her be for now. Pup's all looked like they had full bellies & doin good.

Maybe today she will let me investigate a lil better ?

"BUMLET'S IN MICHIGAN"

Yancy Goodlock & his brother Levi came out from Michigan with Yancy's "Diamond" female to breed to "Patch". Unfortunately she is one of them muzzle needed contankerous female's that put the fear in poor "Patch"...LOL!! I didn't think it could happen but it did.

Yancy decided to breed her to the "Bum" instead of goin the hand job, pipett way which I was willing to do.

"Bum" got'er done & hopefully they will get a nice batch of pup's. "Diamond" has so much "Boomer" in her that she's almost her own grama..LOL! Be hard pressed to find more intensely bred than her.

We are gettin us at least one pup & lookin forward to it!

We took'um huntin with "Patch" & his dad the "Bum". After 4 wheelin our way into a section we cut'um & it didn't take very long for them to lock down with the meat. Down it was, clean to the bottom of a decent sized slope.

They was gettin chilled before we sent;um but when they clumb back to the truck it seemed as though it had warmed up immensely ? I mader maybe a quarter of the way & hit pause till they got back.

Was a blast guy's & lookin forward to another get'ta gether!!
