how has their defense not been a factor for every team they play. If team comes in shoot 40% and ky holds them to 30% that kind of makes it a factor. The fact that you are even saying things like these speaks volumes for what you have between your ears.

Jim that's all fine and dandy but its a mock tounrey selection. If you really think your conference deserves 6 teams then I'm wasting my time trying to convince you the SEC is a terrible conference this year in particular. The PAC 12 is the only one worse. Your conference deserves 2 maybe.

But i'm confident the selection comitee with feel sorry for the SEC and see all of them having 10 losses and just put them all in.

first who's Jim? 2nd I know it's a mock selection. 3rd you been wasting you time cause everyone on here knows that you only bring up facts that back your story. 4th there are 64 teams to make the tourney. Logic would tell us that about every top 50 team will make it and that still leaves 14 more spots. Sec has 6or7 teams in the top 50. You also have to remember all these sec tes are beating each other and several of them has given ky their best games. Oh and out of the 5 teams that ESPN says could beat ky. Nova isn't one of them.

It would be awesome if they go undefeated, but I'm not holding my breath. I don't know how well them young kids could handle the pressure a full season.

You have to factor in all the conference champions because all of them get an auto bid. And you better hope UK doesn't get Nova on the way to the championship because Nova is going to beat them. UK can't hide in there crap conference much longer. March will tell the truth.

Also RPI is only half the equation. Strength of Schedule is also very important.

Villanova) SOS 5th

UK) SOS 12th

Most the SEC have SOS of around 100. That tells you how bad the conference is. If most the teams were in the 40s or even 50s and have 10 losses then they could have an argument for getting in the tourney. With several teams with around 100 SOS and 10 losses how can they feel they deserve a shot?

Rpi is a measure of strength of schedule and how a team does against that schedule.

the SEC has 3 top 30 teams( UK ,UGA and Arkansas ) . and 4 more in the top 50 ( UF and UT just outside that ) for a total of 7 top 50 teams

the Pac 10 has 3 in the top 30 none after that in the top 50 . for a total of 3 top 50 teams

the Big East , which has really come up this year has 5 in the top 30 2 more in the top 50 for a total of 7

the Big 10 has 2 in the top 30 and 3 more in the top 50 . for a total of 5 top 50 teams

the Big 12 has 6 in the top 30 and one more in the top 50. for atotal of 7

The ACC who is the best conference in cbb has 4 top 30 teams 4 more in the top 50 . SO they one more then us and also have 3 in the top 10 which no one else does .

How many teams does the ACC have compared to the Big East? 7 Of 10 in RPI top 50 is beyond impressive.

Are you guys getting concerned that UKs 3 point shooting has totally tanked just like it did the first 10 games of the season?

Yea and what happens? Back to back totally careless turnovers. Just like Texas A&M and Ole Miss. Panic with the lead. I guess that's why the players are playing for SEC teams and not playing at quality programs Because they just aren't ready for the big show. LSU lost this game just like Ole Miss did. I will say it again UK can't hide much longer. ThiS UK team is half as talented as the John wall team. Your benefiting from playing in a conference this year that is horrible.

Hoosier man it's called catching the breaks. Sometime you catch them sometimes you do. This ky team seems to catch them when ever they need too.

u know Trevor I thought about that the other day. Since Cal hasbeen there walls team was the most talented and fun to watch. Had 1 loss going into tournament and gave it away. They were the best team in the NCAA that year and gave it away. But they also had games they struggled and was nail biters.
