Well we just finish up on our third dump tonight with Riptide and Tank. We made three dumps, three trees and seen coons on two of the three trees, the one we could not shine very well as it was in a jungle. Boy is it bone dry, many of the ditches had dried up and cracked open. It has been a long time since I have seen that in these area's.

Thanks Kyle! By the way Big Ike is getting some hands on training and should be ready to make some noise by mid-Nov. and in the mist of coon season, hell (6) months old is old enough not?. Would love to hunt him in the pup derby next spring, or at least that is our goal!

Just called it a night and made five trees and seen four coons. Never had but one dog on each tree. Took Riptide and Fancy and we seen some real good work tonight. Treed one on a very little persimmon tree and it was there, hard to believe after running it in a corn field.

One of the best nights we have had to hunt for a long time, ground is good and damp, cool and everything was running. We took Riptide and Fancy and made three trees with coons, one den and once in the ground. First tree had three coons and the second tree had two and one was on another persimmon tree. We have treed twice in the last week on persimmon trees with coons. Never had both hounds together on any tree.

Well we took a little hunt tonight in Kentucky along the river since their season is in. On the first dump Riptide and Fancy caught one on the ground and let me tell you the blood was flowing on the long ears, thank god for the EMT gell! LOL! Second dump Riptide and Fancy treed about 1.2 miles apart. Went to Fancy's tree first as she was about 600 yards and once we got back to the truck we drove to within 400 yards of Riptide tree. They both did a real nice job for two old common dogs!

Had a nice little hunt tonight. We took Riptide and Fancy made 3 dumps and 3 trees. We seen coons on two of the trees and the other was a persimmon tree and it was slick. We hunted off the Ranger tonight and boy was it nice.

Now Eddie we run the seniors to keep them in shape. About another couple months before we will start running the young ones. The old Holstein trees real live coons and not trees, I know far and few in between huh! LOL!

Thanks! The one thing we know is they have a hell of a nose on them and they know what it is for. They both have extremely good actions for only being 3 1/3 months old, they already try to load in the dog box to go, but it will be a while yet. We will be hunting them a lot this winter to see what we have coming down the pipe line. Hell us poor boys have to stick together and hope one turns out so we can get a few more of this good old blood line, not in it for a dollar or the 100. Just trying to see if the old blood still has it and share it around to some more poor boys!! LOL!

Well today was the longest drag (200 plus yards) that we had laid for Boss Hog and Mr. Ed and overall was pretty pleased. For just turning four months old and running the drag that far and finding the right tree with nothing hanging in the tree made me very please. I do like to see one run before they tree both will work! They did not tree real hard but then again they did what I like to see, run the drag and find where it went up. Jade pups have been very early starters if worked with. One step at a time and move forward! Oh and yes, Corey did rub it in because his pups found the tree first! Going to some big timber this weekend and see if we can string a good drag out for them and still get the job done.

Went to Kentucky tonight with Corey and a long time friend and his two sons. We took Riptide and Fancy, made (7) trees and seen coons on 5 Of the (7) trees and other two were very large den trees. It seemed everything in the woods was running, while on the UTV's we seen yotes, fox, coons, grinners and many deer! The one young man shot one out with my pistol but it was not without many tries, told them no rifles, pistol or they stay!!! Had a very good hunt and covered a lot of ground in a short time. Never had two dogs on the same tree all night again.

Jet V and Jade Pups

Corey and myself took out Mr. Ed and Boss Hog today for a few drags. We have them looking hard for a track and finding the tree and treeing descent for 4 1/2 months old. We have not let them see a coon while messing with the drags but it won't be long, coon season comes in soon for them! Boss Hog threw that head up today with the wind blowing and picked the track up about 20 yards from we started the drag out, really using that nose. Here are a few pictures from today little episode!
