I look at it this way. Imagine that you know where a monster buck is living but there's no way you can get the buck out of the nasty overgrown thicket he lives in. Now, you know the buck moves at night because you've seen it several times. Now instead of being patient and waiting on the huge buck you go out at night and poach the deer. Sure you got the deer but was it right? The Auburn story is no different. People are willing to do whatever it takes to win.

Is Auburn the best team or do they have the best cheater? he may be a great player but since when does the NCAA rule on a situation in a couple of days? It normaly takes them a couple of years to do an investigation before they bring the hammer down. You are right, if Auburn would be 8-5 nobody would care but they are undefeated and it now matters. If they are stripped of their title down the road then who is to say should have won the title? Get a playoff system NCAA!!!!!!!!!!!!Where would Auburn be without him? 3-9 They barely won a few games even when he was playing. How many times did they have to come back from double digit deficits? I Know Scoreboard! They did win. And as far as Boise State goes, get out of here with your crappy, no competition playing, losing to a 17 point deficit Nevada team. If they played a SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 or even Pac Ten team week after week they would be lucky to be bowl eligible at the end of the year. TCU you are no different. Until you play big time competition week after week you do not deserve a shot at the national title. Both of you may win your bowl games but what does that prove? You were the best team after a 1 month layoff, I would love to see you take on Wisconsin right now. Wisconsin 70 TCU 23, I know Wisconsin will never win a title because they play a bunch of cupcake teams in the begining of the year. GO BADGERS

hey then just who do you think is the best team auburn has done things this year that no team in college football has ever done like come from behind to win games 8 of 10 plus points beat 6 top 25 teams one of them twice you just wish like everbody else tha cam played for your team but not as much as urban meyer does

alot of IF'S on this thread.... what IF Alabama didn't have Mark Ingram last year, what IF Texas didn't have to play with their back up QB in the NC, what IF Florida didn't have Tebow, what IF Oregon didn't have James this year, what IF Boise didn't miss that field goal against Nevada, what IF Auburn didn't have Newton, what IF we had a playoff system, ya'll just keep What IF'N this thread to death the facts are Newton is the best player in college football and Oregon and Auburn are the top 2 teams in the nation based on the BCS system we currently have... deal with it or keep crying it ain't gone change anything...... and like mjones said someone tell me who deserves to be playing for the national championship other than auburn or oregon, wisconsin would be a good arguement they are tough but other than them noone is close.....

It realy dosent matter about all the contraversy, Newton has carried his team to a NC Game and most likly will Blow Oregon slam off the West Coast , with his legs and his arm, A few years back, they Said no body could beat the High Powered offence of OKi with Sam Bradford but A little team From Gainsville Showed um How to play Deffence and Robbed OKi of there Dream

Hoosier Man1 you are like this young guy I talked to that got beat out of the high school football playoffs. He went to the championship game just to watch it in the stands and he told me, man we should of been there , we could have beat them! I laughed at him and said no you shouldn't you got beat 2 rounds ago by a team that got their ass's handed to them by the team you were watching in the championship game. Point is, you need to listen to the people that get paid on t.v. that actually do their homework on all these conferences that say which conference is the toughest week in week out and quit pretending you know everything. Auburn is # 1 and Oregon is #2 and they will settle it on the field come Jan.10th.. Beside you were all about Boise a week ago now you are talking about TCU and everbody else.

I'm still all about Boise, what's to brag about there awesome game coming up with utah? Utah is a decent team but there far from great. I said all along TCU was a great team. I'm simply stating that Auburn despite weather they win the championship or not will be going under within 2 years. The NCAA as I type this is continuing to investigate and gather enough evidance to put the hammer down on Auburn. Givi it time you will see.
