its coming along ,trying to get the rest of the fence done, the owner is going to try and buy some hay this weekend[good luck with that] so he can move the horses here by middle of next week, think he is tired of paying that 1500 bucks a month for having them boarded...

Good Morning people,,rain has stopped here for now,,blue skies but it may start again .

Posted by Mike Milam on 09-07-2012 04:05 PM:

That is high for boarding horses. We use to charge $175.00. All we did was feed and water them. Those owners had to keep their stalls clean and exercise them. The contract said they had to clean stalls everyday and if you missed a day and we had to do it another $25.00 would be on the monthly bill. Good luck on finding hay. That is like panning gold today.

Found this snake hanging on my bird feeder. It also had a bulge in his stomach. He caught one of my song birds. No I did not kill it I took it down in the pasture and released him in a big oak tree.

Neighbor north of me got $300.00 a ton for his 2nd cuttin' of alfalfa. Hudson and some others told me little square bales of alfalfa were bringin' from $6.00 to $10.00 per bale up at Arthur sale barn that will clean out the billfold quick.

They are killing the folks getting that much for hay. To me those guys are no better than the oil companies.
