A GOOD VISIT

GEORGE KIESLAR CAME UP FOR A VISIT. WE ENJOYED SOME ARTIFACT HUNTING AND TALKED DOGS AND LOTS OF THINGS PERTAINING TO THIS LIFE WE LIVE. GEORGE IS A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE FROM THE BLUEDOG TO PREHISTORIC MAN AND HIS TOOLS FROM ALL DIFFERENT ERAS. LOOKING FORWARD TO HIS RETURN AGAIN THIS SPRING WHEN THE FIELDS ARE DONE UP. GEORGE HAS ALSO WRITTEN A BOOK THAT IS VERY GOOD ABOUT THE LIFE AND TIMES OF HIS FOLKS MIXED WITH SOME FICTION AND FACT ON HOW THINGS WERE BACK THEN RIGHT DOWN TO WAYS OF LIFE AND THE BLUE HOUND.
A VERY ENJOYABLE BOOK THAT SHOULD BE PART OF ANYONE'S COLLECTION THAT LIKES TO READ OF DAYS GONE BY, HOUNDS, HORSES AND ALL THINGS THAT MADE THE WORLD GO ROUND. I WILL BE POSTING AN ADD FOR GEORGE'S BOOK AND HOW YOU CAN GET IT. <v>

THIS IS MY YOUNGEST SON JARED PLOWING WITH A NICE TEAM OF PERCHERON'S IN ERIE PA. HE IS IN DIESEL SCHOOL
AT OHIO TECH IN CLEVELAND OHIO AND HAS A BUDDY THAT TOOK HIM HOME TO ERIE AND INTRODUCED HIM TO THE BIG BLACKS. THEY PLOWED ONE WEEKEND AND PULLED 130 LOGS OUT OF THE TIMBER BY HORSE POWER THE NEXT. HE IS HOOKED AND SAYS HE WILL HAVE A TEAM OR TWO IN THE FUTURE. I AM VERY PROUD OF HIM AND SO GLAD HE GOT THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SEE FIRST HAND WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO FARM AND WORK WITH HORSES. <v>

Jeff McCarthy and his 12 year old daughter, Hannah took Bentley out last night. Bentley has been really coming on strong, he's the type of dog that rarely puts his nose down.

Sure enough he pushed one out into a field where the coon must've thought he could lose Bentley in the winter wheat rows, or possibly he was out there to begin with and was trying to get back to the woods in a round about kind of way.... Either way the coon's plan didn't work for him.

Bentley has a couple scars now. Coon was of the size that most people like to show off during hide season with. Couldn't be more pleased and excited to see how he keeps progressing.
