Four crosses have been made down here doubling up on dogs from 6 Again. By that I mean half brother to half sister crosses of dogs that are directly out of 6 Again. Some of the very youngest are at Ed's being worked and hunted. Dogs from the other three litters are treeing coon by themselves and are still young. My young female made a statement again tonight during our short hunt that it is time for the older dogs to get off the pot and get out of the way-cause she is on her way. The last two times we have had her out-she has broke it off big time on the locate and had the coon-no matter the company. I am encouraged by these young dogs. Right now it is difficult to determine who should get the most credit-the males off 6 Again or the females from him that I bred them to. This is a nice problem to have and one that I look forward to understanding much better.

CW, If I didn't know any better, I would say that you are fond of that 6 again blood!

BIG BOY

Last night Jacob Webb hunting out of the Hogansville, Ga. club won 1st place registered for the second time in a row with Gr Ch Blue Bio 6 Again's Big Boy (6 Again X Nt Ch Notchaway Blue Ticker) James Snider hunted his female in a different cast. She is out of Big Boy X Blue Bio Terri Tooker and all of 9 months old-wish all the luck in the world to that pair, she should only get better. Ed called about Bluetick Days-so all of you who do get to go be sure to look him up and say hello. With Big Boy likely to ad his name to the champions list of 6 Again offspring, I will start pushing my Lady female (6 Again X Treeslammin Lady) she is a littermate to Ed's Nt Ch Lady and Gr Nt Ch Mad Dog All Jazzed Up. She has been busy being a mama. Her pups are wanting to make their own mark so I need to get busy making her at least a Nt Ch. Once she makes Nt Ch think 60% of that litter will have finished-not to shabby-that is if you put any emphasis on that sort of thing. Much needed rain down here and the hunting is GOOD!

NOT FOR SALE

At the request of Jaimie Snyder I am posting this. Jamie called Sunday to tell me he had turned down an offer to buy his female-Lucy the 9 month old out of Big Boy X Terri. Just got off the phone with him this morning. He has gotten two more offers and the price offered is on the rise. He ask me to post this and I have. Told him that by doing this-it may just get worse. Jamie says the "Spotted Dog" folks are the ones having the most trouble with what they are seeing. Know where two more are that I do not think can be bought-one of them may be in the hunts soon. These dogs are line bred from 6 Again and Ed Mead's Jet bred dogs simply applying tried and true breeding methods of selection. My hats off to Ed, Terry Tucker, Larry Harvey and to all the Bluetick men who make all this possible-any small successes we garner are directly related to the efforts of others.Thank You!

Bronco and Lucy

Late night text message from Mr Snider on his good hunt with Lucy. Earl Blount's Bronco dog is from the first litter of Big Boy X Terri--Earl and his brother Zac brought Bronco to our BBCHA Hunt in Roberta. Bronco is some 6 months older than Lucy. Stanley Bowling and I have talked a couple of times lately. Also spoke with Dale Parker and Rick Jordan. Rick is at Bluetick Days. Ed has called 3 times from the hunt and I just got off the phone with Terry Tucker and Ed again. Wish I could have made it. With any luck Reject will be back here and in his pen on Sunday. Jeff Timms, Joe Vogatsky and Dan Rosier have indicated their plans to be there as well. Good luck to all of you.

Couldn't make it to Bluetick Days this year. Joe thanks for the text. Joe text a photo of Ed to me yesterday from the hunt. Glad to know you two got to visit. If I got this right Terry Tucker had two cast wins as of yesterday and that is great news. Since I could not make it up to join in the festivities I had to be content with hunting down here. Took Gr Ch Blue Bio Flower Lady to her first hunt last night. Lady is from the cross of 6 Again X Treeslammin Lady. Lady won 1st place reg. last night at Roberta, Ga. She was mentioned a couple of post back as the next one to be put in the hunts-so she is now off to a good start. Will say at this point I'm even more excited about her pups and their prospects for the future. Right now -just waiting for the call to go pick up Reject-he has some romancing to do as soon as he gets here!

So nice to hear from so many people, enjoy talking with everyone. Not all news has been good. I tried to warn all of you who would listen about the money problems lurking on the horizon. Inspite of the best efforts of those in charge to sweep this under the rug the problems still surfaced. My sincere hope is that this officer is bonded as per the constitution and by laws. Some good people are stepping forward and they are to be commended for their efforts on the behalf of others. The historical top producers are ranked by numbers instead of percentages on the current list. If my Lady should make Night Champion then Treeslammin Blue Lady's % would increase to 33 1/3 %-this would be the highest percentage of both the current and historical list but would still keep her #2 on the historical list. Glad you and Eric got to hunt together, sure wish I could have made it up. We were trying to get Reject back here in time to breed him to Gr Ch Nt Ch Blue Bio May Flower (Jet 5 Again X Gr Nt Ch Blue Bio Blue Flower.) He was bred to Ed's Hope female recently and awhile back to Stanley Bowling's female and that litter is a few months old. We actually find out if a dog is going to reproduce before we suggest breeding to him--strange-I know!

dont think that is strange at all its what i did with buzz also only using him on a cple now till we see what alotta the others do i really see alotta pups goin to waste and not even perfomanced up. so how do you know if you dont keepem all lol i tried to keep a bunch and that doesnt workn either cant hunt them all heard bout the money issue but seemed hush hush hope they get it all lined out!!kinda hate to pay dues when this happens? they had it happen at a local club here and makes me wonder if thats y i wasnt a bbcha member last year even tho ni paid my way and washed my card with no proof of membership!!!!and didnt get my bluebook!! lessons learned i guess!!! take care cw

Performance Money!

John & Eric- that's right, I'm the one that gets the check from UKC when Buzz and Becky win. Same as when Ed was winning all those hunts with 6 Again. So work it out and keep them in the hunts-besides Gr Nt looks better than Nt Ch-don't it? Becky was part of the deal when 6 Again went North. Jeff Timm's Lucy is from the same cross as Becky-that is one reason her crossed to Iron Will 2 is interesting to me, as is your cross John and Dan's Zena female out of Jet 7 both bred to Iron Will 2. When you ad Joe with Junior in Virginia to the mix-I am busy just trying to keep up. Excited by the pups that are doubled up off 6 Again. Two more out of 6 Again will be added to the list of champions soon--this ride is far from over and a big thank you to all of you that are making this possible.

Slough-A big thank you to Dave for dropping Reject off-right now he is showing the effects of weight gain and the heat. A steady diet of a little less food and every night in the woods should take care of the problems. Do have to take it easy-dogs going from down here to up there have an easier time adjusting this time of year because of the heat and the humidity. Heck -we got this flesh eating mess to worry about now! If our rivers and lakes are where this is found, we coonhunters and fishermen better be careful. Predictions back in 1994's flood warned of the possibilities of some weird occurences of contamination of water supplys, sanatation systems, septic tanks, oxidation ponds and holding tanks -- all flooded. Sometimes ole Mother Earth takes a little while to clean herself up. Two cases have shown up so far down here-Just one more thing to worry about besides gators, snakes, tics and idiots. As for me, I'm waiting on it to get dark--put my foot on the pedal and let the bad luck happen!

The saying "Time heals all wounds" is not one I believe in. Some things you eventually accept or at least learn to live with. You never truly get over them because to do so would mean you forgot what happened and could no longer see their faces. Bad weather is moving in to this area and some how seems more appropriate for Memorial Day. To those who lost their lives, to the ones who lost loved ones and so many who lost a part of themselves -this day is set aside for reflection-not celebration. To all our coon hunting fraternity who answered the call and their families- hold your head up-you did your part to make all this possible, Semper Fi!
