Put him in the wood and let him go. I plan on putting Mace in there with my buddys female as soon as ive got time to. I think all any of your pups need is a decent chance because they are bred right in my opinion. I will do my best.

Shy just came in heat and the coyotes have been getting awful close lately, so we haven't been able to get out much. Took Heckler and Maverick for a run the other night - let em run for about an hour and a half, but nobody ever came across anything. I took my coon home Thurs. night and just couldnt stand it, I had to see what he would do. I had to coax him a little but not much. I drug him away from the cage and put him back up. Friday was really when I tried him on the tree. He did great. Well I got him back out Sat just to let him get some exercise and he did the same thing. He went to that tree and rared up on it and checked it pretty hard. He realized there was no more coon up there and he left it alone. He goes off by himself really well, he just needs to be fine tuned to the coon frequency a little more.

SMOKED ONE. 1 IS HARD ENOUGH ON THIS FAT BOY!!!

TOOK TRAC OUT FOR THE FIRST TIME TONIGHT, SPOT RAN OFF AND LEFT HIM BUT HE STAYED BUSY HUNTING AROUND.

Hey Nathan, how many litters has Spot had so far now? I was thinking 3, but wasn't sure...has he thrown all black/white and blue pups? Seems like he's thrown a good many with that split face marking, too...there were two in Shy's litter of 10 with a perfect split down the middle of thier face. Is there a dog in Spot's ped that marking comes from, or do you think it's from Spot?

he has had 3. he hasn't thrown a full red one yet, a couple tri colors. he has throwed 3 on this end with the split face. i've seen a handful of dogs from roy line be split faced. i'm sure with him being split face he will throw somemore.

i've got a couple females line up this summer to be bred if it all goes well.

my buddy has a full litter mate to red hot six shot he is going to breed when she comes in. that little female has produced 2 litters with just a few pups but everyone of them has made coondogs. she is a exceptional coondog herself.

If you ever breed him to another Main Street bred female, let me know. We won't be looking for any pups for at least another year, but I have a feeling we're really gonna like what our pups do. May want another out of him in the future...heck, we may want to breed to him again Just want to see how things turn out with this batch, first...

they was a guy called me he said he bought one off u that is already running a treeing bears!!!! WOW!!! i think we have a good cross here. trac split the other night and stayed till i got there, he looked real good, wish my light would've went dead while i was going in liked to have seen what he was treeing.
the've been alot of people try to buy him, u will be hearing more about him in the future!!!!!!

Shy/Spot cross

Wayne called me last night telling me about that little female. He said it was pretty comical to see a 100 lb bear trying to get away from a 25 lb pup! He and his nephew both seem EXTREMELY pleased with thier pups. He said he was looking for another male pup since an older dog of his got run over, so I gave him your number and told him you had a few left from Spot's last litter. He told me to call him when Shy has her next litter as well (we bred her to GRNITECH Main Street Joe over the weekend, so we'll see if she took...) and he would come pick one up.

Shy had 9 pups that lived, so out of the 7 pups that FOR SURE went to hunting homes, we have one running bear, one running hogs, and at least 4 running coon with other dogs so far! And by 6 months of age! I'd say we did good on this litter Nat!

Well, we took Heckler out last night for the second time. Andrew and I went out and released a caged coon we'd trapped, then drove back home and picked up Shy and Heckler. Took Heckler by himself at first and dropped him a ways from the track, which was about 10-15 minutes old by that time. He never made a sound, but did great tracking it. When he got to the tree, though, he didn't seem to know what to do, and backtracked the coon to where we'd first let it go. After letting him try to figure it out for about 15 minutes, we went and got Shy and dropped her on it with him. She worked it to the same tree Heckler had, and treed on it. He put his feet on it, but Shy kept jumping around knocking him off, so we tied her back and got Heckler treeing on it also...

I am so proud of this little guy...

This is only the second coon Mace has seen. It is time to hit the ridge with another dog. He has treeing ability, now he needs to polish up his tracking ability. The screaming black dog is my Labtick mutt. His momma was an english redtick. The other dog barking is Mace.
