I was hoping to make it to Gray tonight but it doesn't look like I'll be off work in time. 6 days a week, 12 hours a day in a sawmill will make a man old before his time!

12 hours days do suck. it dont make since to me they had you laid off november and december , now they have you working 12 hours 6 days a week

They say they need to "spread cost over units" the more "units" of lumber we make the less per unit it costs to manufacture them and we can make more money that way. I don't exactly understand the math behind it either but to produce as much lumber as they want we have to run 72 hours a week and their ok with that. Plus when they brought us back they took 10% of our pay but said "you will make it up in overtime." Myself and 100% of the other workers feel like we're getting the screws put to us, but all we can do is keep doing it until something better comes along.

Cut Brummy loose alone tonight down a creek. He was 800 yards and struck in 6 minutes and treed at .7 miles in 11 minutes. He did a nice job busting in there quick and getting treed. He had a coon. Chris, here are a few pictures I took tonight, my wife messed with the camera some last night after we were talking and it seems to be doing a little better.

Brummy pup

Clyde, a friend of mine picked up a pup at the Grand American, he said he wasn't even lookin for a pup, but walked by, and the pup started barkin and he couldn't stand it. He has two redbone pups around 4 mos. now, but he like to hunt with my Blueticks. I haven't saw the pup yet, but my friend is sold on him. Said he is the loudest mouth on his yard, of the three pups. So, i to will be watching him, to make sure he makes it. Can't stand to see a Bluetick fall in the wrong hands, plus his blood will work with my females. We are waiting on the little fella, and i will look to see you at the Winter Classic Sat.. It takes a good one, to know a good one. Dexter

Thanks for the kind words Dexter. Your friend bought a Brummy pup at the Grand American? Who was selling it? What sex was it and how old? I didn't know there were any out there for sale or I might would have bought it myself! I'll be at the Classic all weekend, big red headed guy with a Bama hat on.

Clyde, just talked with him, i said he wasn't a Bluetick man. I questioned the pups Sire to find it was Outlaw Springs Brummy II x Cape Fear Blue Sadie. My bad i should have looked the papers over myself. Ivey C Brinson NC. I believe was Dam's owner. Dexter

I didn't think there was anybody around with small pups off him, not a male anyway.

I almost think this dog can sense when we're getting ready for a big hunt. He has been looking real nice the last couple of weeks. We'll be at the RQE in Albany this Saturday night and will be hunting both nights at the Winter Classic.
