Ended up around 80 something here today... Was WAY cooler in Boston etc.. on the sea shore. I heard some people thought it was.... TOO COLD!

HI THERE!

Nice day here again and tonight is GORGEOUS! Such a nice cool breeze blowing in the window. I keep wishing it down to all the people dealing with heat!!!
Sitting here watching dumb horror movies... LOL... Bob didn't have band night tonight...SO... he and Kenny(30) and Josh(24) and another 24 yr old... have gone out "clubbing". The old man(Bob 47) is gonna be tired out with those younguns! They were planning to go to Patriot Place(at the football stadium) there is a bunch of restaurants, bars etc there... Another friend of mine(the BIG Biker builder dude, Phil) is a bouncer at one of the places... I figure they'll be there with the nice carpenter who is working here on the castle while Phil is too busy to do so... I'm thinking it wont be TOO late a night?????
SO... back to browsing and watching whatever dumb movie I just picked.. I forget the name already! lol...

Hey there

Just getting on here now. Not sure what I did all day...LOL... Oh yeah... I spent a couple of the hours preparing dinner! Made a nice meatloaf...YUM! Baked taters, YUM! I'm stuffed.
Was warm and humid here today. SUPPOSED to rain but again is fading off as it comes... Bob and I WERE going to take the dawgs and Kenny and go sleep in a big tent we have set up out back... I have NOT had tent experience... and said I'd stay out there with them...LOL... I'm SUCH a baby.... The forecast told us not tonight... Bet it'll stay dry now! I just wanted to hear the critters up close, hear the yotes, hear the chatter of the coons as they fight and play etc... We'll aim for another time but not in the rain or thunder since it's supposed to be FUN....

More on the 'Thing" Corky was asking about.

A couple of years ago someone informed the lovely Mari that one was crawling around somewhere and naturally she had to have it to photograph. We kept it a few days.

After some online research I deternined that 'it' was supposed to go in the ground and pupate and re-emerge the next year -- I suppose as a Moth. I put it in a container and kept it over the winter but When I looked for it, it had deteriated to nothing.

I think I interrupted the process. As I understand what I read about it, when it gets to be the color of the one Corky had the pic of, that is the final stage as a caterpillar.

The thing is supposed to go in the ground and pupate. We kept ours out too long I think...and that's why it didn't work for us. The thing had pupated BEFORE I put it in the container filled with dirt.

I have some pictures here of our 'thing' so you can see.

I see this... I was gonna say, I'll bring you sweet tea if you bring me Mr. Pib. It is no longer sold in the midwestren states. Not that I have found anyway. Mr. Pibb is my favorite, now I drink sweet tea on its place.

I'll see what I can do for you. Come to think of it, I haven't seen Mr Pib anywhere lately. On the other hand nearly every eating establishment has 'Tea" either sweet or unsweetened. Some places even have it in cans. Of Coarse home made sweet tea is the best. You can't buy that.
