Tramp reminds me of another young male I used to own that went on to become something special. He's coming back to my house to get hunted while wearing my dc30 collar. I'm already looking forward to next year's BBOA Days.

I'd like to, I've played in it the last 3 years, but I'm supposed to work the night of it this year. I'll see if I can go into work a little late this year.

Made 1 brush pile with anne & Cracker on 1st corn field chase. After another good race, yhey went left to another brush pile & he went right & treed the only coon that we saw tonight. Take care, Ron.

Nikki and I took our 10 month old son, Mason, on his first ever coon hunt last night. Tramp sure did pick a nice spot to get treed. It was easy walking all the way there, and was opened up nice for a good photo opportunity. This will get framed and hung up on the wall. I just wish I had realized the lens was covered with Mason slime, so the pic is a little fuzzy.

Got Lady qualified for the World Hunt last night. First place at the Pearl City, Illinois RQE. She is 5 for 5 on casts this year, really proud of her. She will be bred to Jet when she finishes.

jake just picked my female up today to be bred to jet. she is direct out of blue creek gauge and a female directly out of utchmans so blue clyde and utchman so blue fly. she also has a very very big mouth which hoping the pups do to. cant wait hope she takes.

I have a feeling Tramp is going to have his own thread next to his Dad's before too long...

Last night I went out at midnight, made 2 trees and had coon in both trees. First dump was challenging as it's a 40 acre section of timber with beans all around it. Corn is on the neighbor's. He didn't waste much time getting out of the 40 and into the neighbor's and got latched on an apple tree with 2 kits in it. It was so close to the neighbor's house I just patted him on the head as I was leashing him up and got out of there. Next dump was a spot where I can't recall of a time I've ever seen a coon as it's full of dozer piles and den trees. I cut him in the corn and he heated one up and pulled the trigger in the middle of a tree top, viney mess. He had a coon at the very top. Called it a night.

Tonight my 11 month old son decided to be a night owl, and didn't bed down till about midnight. I decided to go hunt a spot that has corn up next to an 80 acre section of timber with a pasture on the east side of all of it. I cut Tramp loose at 1:15 and before too long he was working a track, and made a loop and was treed about 100 yds in the timber. Coon seen. Cut him again, and he ran around in the corn, brought it out into the timber and got hooked about 60 yds in the woods. 4 sets of eyes seen. Cut him again, this time he zig zagged a bit thru the timber and woods, then struck about 220 yds in. Treed at about 300 yds out in the pasture. More coon seen. Was back to the truck at 2:15. I am more than happy considering he's 13 months old and treeing coon after midnight and making it look easy.

Sounds like a fun hunt! Hard to quit for the night, and go to sleep when a young dog is Crankin.

Great pics.

I can`t wait until mine is old (Jet x Jenny aka BoomShoka Locka) enough. He sure acts good a ton of Natural ability already.

There's a lot of Jet pups taking off at an early age. I don't think it's a coincidence.

Tramp was all natural, just turned him loose. At 6 mos old he found a coon at the base of a tree in the middle of Winter while out for a midday stroll. Not long after that, he was treeing easy ones on his own. Now he seems to tree um as they come, near or far. He's still yet to have a coon shot out to him.

Like I said, I can't say enough about this young dog. I'm having a lot of fun with him. I'm sure you will have fun with your's too Stuffy...
