Mornin! 72 here! We got 2.5 inches of rain yesterday and this morning. We got soaking wet walking this morning. Little quick shower caught us 30 minutes from home.

Morning from MO. HOT here! My house sitter said she left the hounds out at home all day yesterday cuz it was in the low 80's in Carolina. :/

It was awful here. I won Grch and qualified for the Queen of Show tonight. It was so hot showing I thought I would pass out.

I hope everyone stays cool!!! Keep those hounds in the shade!

Hi everyone! 85 here and sunny. The morning felt nice, I went out and wandered around enjoying a nice breeze. It got hotter since then... I'm avoiding chores, watching a movie and seeing wassup on here..... Bob's vacation is nearly over now... I'll sleep for a week myself! LOL...
Last night I was smelling skunk BIGTIME and figured something had been sprayed....LOL... BOb got a little baby skunk out of one of the havaheart rat cages.... poor little thing must of had some night! Now he or she is off to being a skunk again.... I have to say I was glad Wyatt was NOT alive caus eHE would have kept us up all night...he LOVED the smell of skunk. I think he would have taken pleasure catching them.... he loved to chase them here. I'm assuming when he was hunted.... that lust for skunk was a bit less!

Well, I think I'll be back later if it doesn't get too busy round here so I'll so how shows went today!

Corky we are playing in a baseball tournament this weekend won one and lost one today Wiston pitched the first game today a complete game he pretty good day walked one and struck out 2 but more important he only threw 81 pitched for the whole game gave 4 hits total How did your black dog do today

Johnny if you had a bar of soap with you you could have got you shower out of the way for the day

Heather you can bottle that skunk smell and send it to David he just loves that smell

JUST getting a chance to get on here... thank Heavens that VACATION is over and I CAN get a rest! LOL....
The skunk smell... should be EASY to bottle!! It is a litter of 5 or 6 babies!!!! Bob had another in the trap this morning... LOL! Only problem is we are supposed to be getting and killing the rats!
It was hot here today... but I refused to do the AC. Finally put a fan in this room... feels NICE! Webster has totally mastered the doggie door at this point... and even in the heat he sometimes chooses to go snooze on the outdoor doggie bed...to get away from Daisy! lol... Have to close the door at night to keep the skunks and coon out! ALL we need is them to come INSIDE for vittles! lol.... We'll set up a table for them....NOT!

CLEO... CONGRATS on the queen! Good Job esp. in the heat!!!! YAY! Keep ENJOYING IT!!!!

Corky, Glad dawg was comfortable at show!

Bond, GOOD job on your sons pitching! CONGRATS!

Congrats Cleo & WB

Started getting a little rain the end of last week and by friday night had accumulated right at an inch. Then got 2 more inches Sat. Susprisenly, have heard of no wind with any of the rain in the area. Field corn is starting to dry and will blow over if you sneeze hard.

Went to the coast Sat. afternoon, hoping to get out and find some red snapper 1 more time before season went out, but the wind and thunderstorms kept me in close. Was able to catch supper while dodging the rain.

Awesome, Slough! Glad you got rain... sorry no red snapper! Dinner looks good though....

Muggy day here, finally had to use the AC once everyone was home... and the oven was on. Had rain and thunderstorms expected but they kept going around us! It was wicked muggy at chore time.. I was dripping with sweat when I came in and it is NOT hard work!
FIrst thing this morning there was yet another baby skunk in the trap... this time Bob waited for me and we went out together so I could see if there was one and help let it go. Silly me... I put the trap in my lap and he took a couple cell phone pix(NO, they are not on here yet)... and as I sat there looking at the sweet little cutie.... NO he or she didn't spray me... but it was SO quiet and cute I actually patted it thru the cage! It was happy to be let loose and quickly went off towards home... Bob moved the trap AGAIN... anyone wanna bet on skunk vs rat tomorrow am???? lol..
Last night we had salmon for dinner... and the critters got the skin at the dencam... as Bob said TOTALLY worth the price of the salmon... to get the new mother coon and baby eating it... PRICELESS pix and I'll try to get them on here later on... I can't tell if this mother has only one kit or not... it is smaller than the litter of 4 who missed out on the skin cause they got there later...
Will finish browsing on here... and then get those pix here...

9:30 and I'm boiling 4 doz blue crabs I just finished cleaning. Some sweetcorn and potatoes and saugage in too. Those things are hot work to catch, fairly hard work to clean and hard to pick for what little meat you get out but they taste good. I think I could loose weight eating them as fast as I could go. Just wish I had a peck of green peanuts to boil in that water when I take them out. Now that would be some good eating too.
