Howdy Doodie

Had a nice day here. Started out with a power failure that lasted a couple hours... no biggie, it was cool enough for open windows last night! YAY!
At about 11 am Bob and I left on the Fatboy and Kenny on his Sportster and went for a nice "country road" ride... to the fried clam place... we PIGGED out, road appropriately to "The Pot Belly Pig" where a nice line of Harleys was out front and the boys had a beer. Came home to give the dawg his meds and do chores at a leisurely pace. It was hot but comfortable. The ride was AWESOME and my back held up well! Sore neck now and a headache but the tylenol I just took will take that away shortly. One of those perfect days for a ride!
Now we're all sitting here in food comas watching tv. LOL. I have gotten SO FAT during Bob's vacation and he has one more week! HELP! lol....
Tomorrow Bob will get on the bike and ride to Long Island to visit his dad's grave. He rode there a couple yrs ago for his first visit there. It will be a good trip for him I'm sure. He never knew his dad who died when he was a baby.
Well, have a GREAT night! HappyHunting Heather

Hot Hot Hot!

Just about everywhere I hear!

It's hot here... I went out early and snatched up a few warm, sweet black raspberries...YUM! What a berry crop we've had this yr! The critters have been LUCKY! Me too.... LOL... YUM!! I kinda DREAD aftn choretime... so sick of bugspray and sweat mix...yucky.... I have noticed my stupid hot long hair...gets wicked tangled from the bugspray too. Be glad you GUYS do not have to deal with this handicap.

Sad to think about dying from leg wounds back in the day or even now for poor people.... The civil war articles are always interesting.

Blackberry season is yet to come here and I think Bob pruned back LOTS this year. I don't like black berries though, so I haven't realy looked. lol...
Bob made it to his dad's grave and texted me a pic. He will be home late tonight... all depends on traffic thru any major cities. He picked a GOOD day NOT to be doing outdoor chores! His hands are trashed from pruning and pulling stuff up and the thorns.... Riding will make them sore too but he will be happy to have gone to NY again.
Well, gotta go get SOMETHING done... Later, Gators!

Well, it's not as hot and dry as it has been but still is hot and dry. Have been getting a few showers and the temps are less than they have been.

Huntin' from a boat -- something I never did but always thought I'd like to try!

okay I guess you can call it working on a vehicle they did have the hood but I think it was just a spot to set the cooler so they would not to have to bend over to get another cold one Rat was out with them and oh and by the way the transmission is still in the junker lol

I am not sure does riding around in a boat spot lighting the banks looking for a red hot track really count as hunting Linkous does the same thing on the ground in a truck just wondering

HOT day here!

Howdy, was in the nineties I guess and pretty humid. I didn't go out to do much till PM chores and I didn't find it TOO bad BUT Bob.... got carried away pulling bittersweet out.... and he was dripping! I TRIED to stick Webster in Daisy's pool... got a couple legs and his belly wet... pity them at Petsmart, Bob and Kenny are going to make an appt to have Web and Daisy bathed, nails and teeth done! LOL... they MAY get him done... ONCE but I bet they will never Invite him back! LOL. Daisy goes for grooming regularly.... lol... sissy dawg!
Well, I THINK tomorrow will be slightly cooler and cooler days ahead... HOPE all of you have a god night and COOL nights ahead in the woods!

Heather
