Hi gang. Upper 80's here the last couple days.

Happy mothers day to all the ladies out there. Today was hard on Sue being it was her first mothers day without her mom.

Corky - Still a little early here. Supposed to go down to 37 Wednesday.

SURE HOPE MOTHERS DAY WAS SPECIAL FOR ALL THE MOMS OUT THERE. MY WIFE ENJOYED HER DAY, SHE HAD BREAKFAST COOKED FOR HER BY THE GIRLS. THEN WE TOOK HER FOR THE DAY TO SWALLOW FALLS STATE PARK HERE IN GARRETT COUNTY MD. ALL THE KIDS GOT IN THE RIVER. THEN WE HAD DINNER. I BELIEVE SHE HAD A GREAT DAY. FIRST TIME FOR AWHILE THAT WE ALL FIVE DID NOT HAVE SOMEWHERE ELSE TO BE.

Confirmed rabies in Tazewell County

TAZEWELL COUNTY (WVVA) The Tazewell County Sheriffs Office is warning residents that rabies has been confirmed in the county.

According to the sheriffs office Facebook page, approximately one month ago, animal control officers disposed of a raccoon in the Kiser Street area of Thompson Valley.

The raccoon was turned over to the health department, which confirmed on Friday that the animal was rabid. County animal control officers have also killed and collected 5 additional raccoons suspected of having rabies, but have not received the confirmation yet on the status of these animals.

The sheriffs office also says that if anyone suspects an animal might be infected to please call 911 and keep clear of the suspected animal.

They also ask that citizens call 911 if a person or animal is exposed, and keep a close eye on the suspected rabid animal so that it can be recovered.

I GUESS THAT IS GOOD, RATHER LEARN THE GAME THAN WORRY ABOUT WINNING. MY OLDEST, HER FIRST SOCCER LEAGUE WHEN SHE WAS SIX. THEY NEVER USED GOALIES AND DID NOT KEEP SCORE, BUT EVERY KID KNEW THE SCORE AND WHO WON WHEN THE GAME WAS OVER. LOL.

OK so... Mothers day was interesting. My partially disabled sister Cassandra was limping more than ever on crutches Sat after a fall this winter hurting her Knee. SHe was getting worse then better for a while then wen to Bermuda a couple weeks ago. SHe stumbled there and it got worse and worse. The phys. therapist told her she had been using the crutches so much the tendon in the knee had shortened and he was stretching it. He said she was shreiking as she stood on it or moved it because of the tight tendon. I took her to the hardware store and liquor store Sat(she needed vodka to try to sleep since the codiene and tylenol no longer did) It was rough. I lad her put all her weight on me to get out of my TALL suburban. It was awful. My sister the nurse and her dr Husband tried to get Cass to the dr but she wouldn't bother anyone on weekend. Sunday.... they go to pick her up, she is on phone w/them in tears(she never cries)... can't move and is half way to door. She wouldn't call 911 cause the chain lock was on....and she doesn't want to pay for new door. IT TOok her 45 minutes to get ten feet. Then she finally called 911. HER FEMUR WAS BROKEN just above the artifical knee! CLEAN THRU THE WHOLE BONE! SHe has been hobbling around on a broken leg. We all stayed in Brookline and she had emerg. surg on Tues am. She has blood clotting disorder and ANY surgery or cut is dangerous. Usually she banks her own blood for surg. but this was not PLANNED.... It was stressful and scary but she did AWESOME! She will get to rehab tonight or tomorrow if it goes as planned. She will not be able to weight bear for THREE mos! She is expected to fully recover and have WAY LESS PAIN NOW! DUH!
SO... then I got home yesterday I think? Got some stuff planted, some stuff is sprouting in Bobs veg.garden! Nice outside etc... Had to finally come INSIDE to get on here and do laundry.... and my ankle hurts too much still to get down on ground to weed etc...lol...
SO.... I will try to eventually get caught up on this thread AND all the others I read...HELP! lol...

Ok it's Friday the weekend is starting what's everyone getting into just remember if so wore out on Monday you need to go back to work to rest up you have a great if your retired you have to lay in bed till noon every day till Wednesday but Price don't count he sleeps till one every day speaking of Price he was having a cat scan or MRI or something done this week to check to see if he still had a brain or something

TWO SPRING SOCCER GAMES THIS MORNING, MY 12 YEAR OLDS TEAM WON 9-0 LITTLE LOP SIDED BUT SHE PLAYED WELL. NOW THE BOYS TEAM ALSO WON 6-1 THEY HAD ALOT OF FUN PLAYING. THOSE TWO TEAMS KNOW EACH OTHER AND REALLY CUT EACH OTHER UP. NOTHING SERIOUS JUST GOOD FUN FOR THEM. IT WAS FUN TO WATCH WITHOUT ALL THE PRESSURE.

Morning gang. Been busy the last few weeks. Took Sis up to Christiansburg RQE last weekend and won best female of show. So she is in.
Went tonight to Danville RQE and put Jasper in his first UKC hunt. Ended up with a cast win of 200 plus and no minus. Got 2nd overall in the hunt.
Now for English sectional next weekend at our club.

Prayers for Heathers sister and all in need.
Now off to bed.

Bond the show went good. Didnt night hunt but somebody did good in it. Pttm08. Lol. Congrats again buddy. We did pleasure hunt down there and put one up. Didnt do another drop because we were unsure of the weather plus two copperheads in 300 yards had us a little jumpy. Lol. C'ville rqe this coming weekend. Maybe there.....
