Morn'n, the last few days we have had a cool spell, just made it up to 95. S'pose to be hotter this weekend with a chance of scattered thunderstorms the first of the week.

Hey Everyone!

Here I am... I am fine and dandy. Was too LAZY to get on here last night I guess... BARELY stayed awake for the whole Bruins game(LOSS ).... Rain on and off since yesterday and COOL... barely 60! It's been a good on and off rain... not just the storms... so our vegetation is happy. the dawgs are not so happy.... they want to be OUTSIDE!
They were VERY happy to hunt down and kill another little rat...LOL... And sadly they MIGHT have hunted down and killed a nice garter snake... Bob found a part of it with them? Poor snake!
I'm getting the rain on the AC drip drip headache now. It's like water torture......
Buck, Great pix!! the flower looks like cloth! Keep taking pix! Hope the dawg pix come out even better than they have in the past!!!! Always love your pix.
Slough... hope it DOES cool off! Red Snapper! YUM!!!

In the mid fifties here right now! Supposed to stay around 60-70 with lows in the fifties for a couple days I hear. Wet morning but not raining at this point. I THINK it poured most of the night.

lol.. between periods of the game... quick browse on here during the breaks... cool day here... grey most of the day. Not a bad day overall.

I wont be on here tomorrow... going on to Boston for a routine Eye Dr glaucoma exam and then visiting my Mum for the PM, going to do some paperwork etc... for her. SO... will be back Wednesday... unless I dont get on till game time again.... IF we have a Game 7 to try to WIN!

nope I still got my computer pass coaching a wooden bat high school team so between practice and games cuts in to my computer time a little had a double header today two 5 inning games we won both 3 to 0 Trey threw a 1 hit shut out second game 8 to 0 Winston threw a no hitter that's my boy sorry got to a little bragging I guess

Cool night it would be a to be hunting 61 supposed to drop in to the upper 40's tonight and tomorrow night

In Good Old Sackey Lackey we have to get new hunting etc licenses by July 1. I'm just sitting here reading through the new regs. Well, We got a new one called the "Renegade Hunter Act" Yes Sir , that'n slipped right by me. Anyways , what it does is require you to have written permission any where that the dog goes that you do not have hunting rights to"whether the person in controll of the dog intentionally or unintentionally releases, allows or otherwise causes the dog to enter upon the land of another without permissionnof the landowner". It comes with a token " $500 fine, no part of which may be suspended or imprisoned for not more than 30 days , or both". Can't get hunting priveledges back till "completes a hunter education class administered by the Department." ( By crackey, I bet that really fixes things).
But this is where the Florida Hunters (out of State in my State) lost their battle for it specifically says "A dog that has entered upon the land of another shall not be killed , mamed, or otherwise harmed simply because the dog has entered upon the land" . I kid you not , doesn't say a word about the fellow fetching the dog though. I wonder why we have such a distaste for Florida Trophy Hunters?

I guess even more stupid heads will roll come election time cause last time I checked them Florodah boys can't vote here.

I bet there will be a whole lot of written permissions flying around my neighborhood. Yes, if you or your wife turns FiFI out to WE WE and he gets on your lot and you see FiFi and you see his owner walking around the block looking troubled and you ax him "What wrong? What ya doing?" And he bees stupid enough to say I'm "hunting" for my dog. See ? You got his fanny right there.

Afternoon, made it back home Sunday night around 11:30. Limited out on red snapper ( 2 per person ), culled seaveral. Caught a few lane snapper and mangroves. Got 3 legal red grouper with seaveral shorts. Great trip with good friends.

Still hot and dry here with no change in the forecast.

Hi there!

Got back from my trip to town a bit early, and am not tired yet. Eye Dr went well, eyes are Good! YAY! Had a WONDERFUL visit with mum. Sorted thru boxes of stuff with her... since she is legally blind.... Ended up coming home with half the stuff in the "giveaway boxes!" lol.. My mum was in such a great mood I really enjoyed it.
Slough, sounds like a Nice fishing trip! I loved to fish so much when I was young.... FUN TIMES!

Red snapper sure is good but back to the flounder. I caught the tide right about dusky dark to ease from the crab dock in my 12 foot pond boat and have a look around with my big heavey brighteyes and a $200 led head and guess what? It works like a charm, better for finding fish than coon eyes. I must have floated over 100 , that I could even see and I am not the best for seeing flounder but I am probably the best I ever saw for finding coons. Trouble is, we have a 14 inch limit , and I believe these were all 131/2. Maybe they will grow. Second crop of sweetcorn is coming in though and that front yard coon has had better sense than to mess with it. I got invaded by a crop of deer Saturday night while I was hanging out. I did not need to rototill , the tracks covered the works. They ate cowpeas mostly, silks off second crop of corn, Okra of all things , cucumber and cantalope but left the watermelon alone for some odd reason and some Mexican clover scattered that I did not hoe. Me and the deer always had an understanding around here but my son killed a wallhanger in December so I guess all bets are off. I saw some tonight when I went out to move the garden hose that has been running non stop. We are dry. I had to stomp my feet and clap me hands and say "git out of Hyar" . Very unusual for deer, they usually HA. I guess they are becoming acclimated to their surroundings. And since my family has lived in that house since 1866 after Sherman burnt the other one down. I do not confess to live in the deer's habitat, Heck no, they are invading Mine. I got a half breed puppy staked out where the garden forks to do patrol work. I feed her donuts and she is getting a big ole hiney on her. I hope this one is better than last year, she would give those deer a free pass. Which brings me back to Floridah Hunters that come up here to have a "Wilderness Experience" shooting up our tame deer. I guess life is a stage and we are all just actors if YOU can believe that.

Today was one of those glorious ones...about 72 for the high, sunny... BUT....LOL.. When Daisy got picked up after having been here 24/7 for quite some time... I didn't have the heart to wake Webster and take him outside while I did chores...so he and I snored away on the sofa with the fresh air coming in thru the screen door...it was nice but a wasted day! lol.. I walked REAL slow doing chores out there though and enjoyed it tons.
Bruins ahead 2-0 now! Exciting!!! Later Gators, Heather

Sat down with second crop of swetcorn, the one the coon did not get. Sweetcorn needs no help but butter and salt. I did a stupid thing and threw in one Habonyarow pepper in the pot with a dozen years. Low and beholt, my face is still sweating.
