Funeral Expense

Obama goes on a State visit to Israel . While he is on a tour of Jerusalem , he has a fatal heart attack.

The undertakers tells the US diplomats: "You can have him shipped home for $1 million or you can bury him here in the Holy Land for $1000."

The US diplomats go into a huddle and come back to the undertaker and tell him they still want Obama flown home.

The undertaker is puzzled and asks: "Why would you spend $1 million to get him home when it would be wonderful to be buried here in this religious country and you would only spend $1000?"

One diplomat replied: "More than 2000 years ago a man died here, was buried here, and just 3 days later he rose from the dead.

We simply can't take that risk".

It is a shame that you did not get a picture of that horse and buggy pulling the boat and trailor. They did not have any sweet tea in LaGrange, that's for sure. We also saw 3 little Amish girls, about 6-9 yrs old going down the road driving a little pony cart. It was precious.

Would have LOVED to have seen that picture! I LOVED to use the pony cart at camp... the man who owned the coonhounds owned a COOL Pony stallion! Loved that SO much more than riding!!!!!

ALL the pix are fantastic everyone! We enjoyed them tons.
Slough, STILL hoping you get a light steady rain and cooler temps as well for those who need em. Supposed to get pretty warm and muggy here tomorrow. TOday was about mid 80s but didn't need AC... tomorrow no such luck.

Awesome horse pix and LOVE Bucks prospective hunting buggy!

Warm for sure today here... might have hit 90? Tomorrow high nineties... some sever thunderstorms near by right now I guess... will shrivel up before they get here the way things are going... especially since Bob missed the note I left him...to water some trees I asked. Oops!

Watching the bruins game right now... 3-0! Wow... we're doing ok.... Hope we WIN!

South Carolina Declares War!

Pres. Obama was in the Oval Office when his telephone rang.

"Hello? President Obama ?" a deep southern voice said,

"This here's Archie down at Joe 's Catfish Shack in Charleston , SC ,

and I am callin' to tell all y'all up there in Washington

that we are officially declaring war on you folks."

"Well, Archie," Barack replied,

"this is, indeed, some very interesting news.

How big is your army?"

"Right now," said Archie, after a moment's calculation,

"there's me, my cousin Harold and my next door neighbor Randy

plus the whole dart team here in Hooters. That makes 8 of us!"

Barack paused.

"I must tell you, Archie, that I have one million men in my army

and they are waiting to move on my command."

"Wow," said Archie, "I'll have to call you back."

A few minutes later, Archie called again.

" Mr. Obama , this war is still on.

We managed to acquire some infantry equipment!"

"And what equipment would that be, Archie?" Barack asked.

"Well, we got us a coupla combines,

a bulldozer and Harry 's tractor."

Obama grinned and sighed...

"I must tell you guys, Archie, that I have 16,000 tanks

and 14,0000 armored personnel carriers and

I've increased my army to one and a half million

since we spoke a few minutes ago."

"Lawdy mercy!" said Archie, "Lemme get back to ya."

A few minutes later, Archie called back.

" Mr. Obama , I'm sorry to say it,

but we have had to call off this here war we been talkin' 'bout."

"Well, Archie, I'm sorry to hear that," said Barack.

"Why the sudden change of heart, if I may I ask?"

"Well, I tell you, prez, it's like this," said Archie.

"We've sat ourselves down and had a chat over our sweet tea

and we jus' come to realize that there ain't no way on earth

we can afford to feed two million prisoners!"

Never did get as hot as they thought here today. It was steamy but not as bad as I expected. Had some strong storms in the area... and the line of storms Split JUST as it got to our area and missed us! Weird... happens all the time here. Later on this pm we did get some good rain.
